It is a great resource; very similar to this wiki. If you want to be successful I recommend you read through it.

Not bad. The panel config determines the properties of the panel and images/indicators used. None of us were able to code at first. You have to get your feet wet if you want to have a panel in there.

Sorry, but It is just WAY too confusing. Any other place I can find a panel, because I do not want it to be animated.

not really :/. You have to actually put effort into learning how to do it. I spent my whole weekend, essentially nonstop developing when i first learned how to make trains, and the same thing the next weekend with routes. You have to read while you're developing so that you can do things in real time and look at other trains to make sure you are doing everything you should be. There are no shortcuts with this.

But I am always doing stuff with family, and I have no time. I am afraid I can not do this, so I guess I made that exterior for nothing.

You can't just give up like that. Everyone has to spend time with family and other things in life which is why we can't develop non stop

Coding the extensions, sound, and panel config files isn't that difficult. If you take a look at some ready made files, and try to understand what's going on, it's not that hard, actually. I have made several of my own extensions.cfg files for various trains that I put together, by just studying one extensions.cfg file.

You remember those development tutorials that I put up a while back? Many people have benefited from them, but we are still getting a lot of questions. Join us live at 8:30 eastern time for a Q&A on our YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFtuTbfGJRjEb2twt6JAVmw/live is the URL of the stream.

The extensions.cfg file has the exterior stuff, not the panel config.

Once the train.dat file is present, it doesn't really matter in which order the .cfg files are made.

Yeah... the train.dat is the only required file. The order you create them in is your preference.

Oh, okay! When can I actually design the exteriors?
