Hard Time with "F" Train on OpenBve
« on: August 16, 2011, 03:03:06 pm »
I already had the A train, the V train, and the Q  train. I downloaded the F train and the message said there where 1000+ files missing when I tried to play. There were no tracks platforms( in some places) and the Coney Island station was not there AT ALL. The only part that was okay was the 6th Avenue segment (cause the V's objects were there probably). Please Help. Thanks

Funny thing is, I didn't see any objects package. What does it look like?

The installer for those respective routes might have selected your C:\Program Files\BVE\ as your directory (unless your openBVE folder is actually in the bve folder).  Make sure that your openBVE folder goes like this in anyplace  openbve\railway\ and thenthere are three folders-route, sound, and object.  For a route like the F train, u also need the Octavia objects folder so make sure to download that under dependencies and make
sure that the objects are in the right place.  To make sure, load the route, and then click show issues.  If an object(s) is not found, that
means your objects are not in the right place (the error message says
file:asldkjasldjasladjalsdja.b3d not found in askdjlaskjdkladjal;sdajal  <---- that should be
the right directory.

Turns out  IND Valley Stream package that was inside the objects folder didn't have all the objects like "culver" and others weren't there, but where in the F Version 4 folder. Thanx for the help.

I had a similar problem too when I first downloaded the (F), it turns out you need the Octavia Object folder for it to work properly. But the (Q) Line does too, and if the (Q) Line works just fine for you and you DO have the Octavia, then I don't know anything else about it.
