Pack One for regular users (http://www.mediafire.com/download/hmk9nzucc7xcnb4/OpenBVE_Fictional_NYC_Subway_R153_Trains_with_NTT_Propulsion_Pack.7z (http://www.mediafire.com/download/hmk9nzucc7xcnb4/OpenBVE_Fictional_NYC_Subway_R153_Trains_with_NTT_Propulsion_Pack.7z)):
OpenBVE New York City Subway Fictional R153 With NTT Propulsion Mods (Alstom ONIX, Bombardier MITRAC 1508C, and Siemens SITRAC) Pack:
This is a sound and physics pack ONLY; I take no credit for the R153 exterior or cab, which was created by:
Original Train Programming - Blue18 (Lakiem Williams)
Original Train Sounds - Blue18 (Lakiem Williams), PuertoRican88 (Michael Garcia)

To install, simply copy and paste the folder found in the .rar file into your openBVE train folder.
This pack comes with the R153 using the R160A Alstom cab & equipped with the following propulsion:
-Alstom ONIX propulsion (R160)
-Bombardier MITRAC 1508C propulsion (R142A, R143, R188)
-Siemens SITRAC propulsion (R160B Siemens)
The trains come in 2, 4, and 8 car sets for all three propulsion sound sets.
Trains also come with new or old brakes, as specified by the folder title.
Enjoy =)

why does the R142 sound like a R160
-
why does the R142 sound like a R160
They both use Alstom propulsion.
-
no they are two different train from 2 different years
-
Listen man, before you start acting like you know it all ... The R142 did have Alstom propulsion before the R160A, don't confuse it with the R142A that came with Bombardier propulsion. Get on either the 2,4 or 5 lines and find out for yourself. ???.

no they are two different train from 2 different years
no, the r142s and r160a's propultion are both from alstom.
-
The R142 uses Alstom ONIX AC Traction model: 4LCA1640A
The R160 uses Alstom ONIX AC Traction model: 4LCA1640A
They are the same.

I don't think y'all understand what he's trying to say. He's saying that they sound too much alike even though of course they use Alstom motors. But they don't sound alike. the 160 is louder and accelerates quicker so the propulsion sounds speeds up more quicker. The R142 accelerates slower so the sound are more slower than the 160 and it's quieter. Now I have never tried Fan Railer's 142 Propulsion sounds as yet but his 160 sounds spot on. Hear it for yourselves of the 142's difference to the 160:
Sound recording of R142 6371 on a Manhattan-bound (2) local (HVAC off) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1VLBAksJqQ#)
No HVAC R160 V Recording (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOFTbnvqfV8#ws)
P.S. no never said anything about the R142A propulsion so I'm sure no one got confused between the 142 and the 142A propulsion 8)

you got my point @ bvefan

LOL come on guys. I ride these trains sometimes expressly for the purpose of making sure I have the pitches and timing correct on the motor sounds. I also update them frequently if I discover something new (or something that needs to be changed). I can assure you that both the R160 Alstom and R142 motor sounds are at least 98% accurate at this point.
