I thought working on the markers will be fast and easy so I've done them:

137
Ok so can you send me the sound files that are causing difficulties and tell me what to do with them?

138
Ok, and what are you currently doing? Are you coding the sounds or something else? Because the only thing I can do is to modify the sounds.

139
Sorry for the delay! Well what's the problem with the R143? Is this the beta version or the 2006-present version from bve connections?

Ok so I started on the J and M lines since they are short and it's easy to find the corresponding texture images.

So I've changed the catwalks of the elevated section and now I'm trying to figure out how to change the third rail cover.
But I'm gonna start with the underground section since there are not so many stations, I'm working on the beams, then I will work on the platforms, and then the signs. Then I will attack the elevated stations: platforms, signs, etc. And finally I will work on the details: trains, markers and some other stuff.

Other Projects / [RELEASED] (WIP) 1970s Routes
« on: June 30, 2017, 03:05:54 am »
BVEStation is pretty much inactive, but nonetheless I decided to update this thread because a lot has changed in this project.
First, let's get right into the project sheet below: The 1970s NYCTA routes will be released in 3 Volumes, the first Volume will include the shortest routes such as shuttles, the second Volume will include individual routes, and finally the third will include major lines made of different routes. All of these routes will be made of completely new objects which will be common to all routes, meaning that there will be only one object folder instead of thousand of dependencies which is a f**king waste of space and time, which is EXACTLY why I gave up on turning current routes into the 1970s versions.
That said, the current development of the 1970s 8th Avenue line is abandoned (I still do random modification for videos), but the BETA of the 1973 A will still be available, so the shitty 1970s Jamaica & Nassau St Line. New version of these lines will be then made as part of the Volume 3 pack of the 1970s NYCTA routes. Right now, the 42nd Street Shuttle is being worked on, I will show it here when finished.

I kept the posts from the early days of the project, but for those who hasn't been following me or those who read this thread for the first time: trust me, things now are 100x better than the crap in the first screenshots lol. So skip right to page 8 where I will soon post screenshots of the 1970s 42nd Street Shuttle!
Note: I will only post screenshots of finished stuff since posting here is quite annoying when it comes to uploading images. Hi, I worked on the R160 motor sounds not a while ago and some SMEE trains, if you want I can help you with something  ;)

144
Well it might be helpful but I think it will not solve the other problems that I had with the newer versions, I will just stay with the v1.4.3 version.
Also, it's gonna be a little bit off topic, but there's one more little thing that I want to figure out and fix so I can definetly be happy with the older version which is: on some trains like the Pre GOH 32 , the R27 and the R30, the exterior camera is based on the trucks and not on the car, so when I ride as a passenger I can see the car sway everywhere. With the newer versions there's a possibility to switch to other cars in the exterior view and stick the camera on the car or the trucks, it's just a question if you know how to fix the exterior camera on those trains, if you don't just forget about that and let's stick to the topic.

145
Lol are you sure it's the right video???

146
Me too, I have an i3 processor which isn't that bad, a geforce 610m 2GB graphic card and 6GB of RAM and can get 60 fps in the cab view and 15 fps in the exterior view on high detailed trains such as the R68 and the R46. But you said that the newer versions are in Beta, although my version is 1.4.3.1-dev (development) and works very good as well.
And thank you for letting me know, hopefully an official stable of the newer versions will be available soon.

I have exactly the same issue, the newer versions of OpenBVE doesn't work at all with some NYCTA Routes and trains.
According to your post, you are probably using the v1.5.1.0 which is the worst: lags, blinking textures, white textures, the whole cab was white with only the locked doors indicator and the speedometer showing up as I was loading the R46 on the F, some routes like the B, D, and 6 will crash the game at 50% and come back at the main menu, either showing an error message or sometimes not, Then I tried the v1.5.1.2, it was better: no lags, no blinking textures, no missing textures at all, but still crashes at 50% when loading these routes,except the 6 train that managed to load somehow, but after I downloaded the LisaRaye 2 object pack, didn't load anymore, and still the same problem with the white cab when loading a R40 Slant or other SMEE on the F line, but after several attempts I managed to load proprely the train, the cab was showing up, but then an error message appeared on the top left corner saying that the train plugin could not be loaded, resulting in nonfunctional rollsigns. then I tried the 1.5.512.1319-travis version and the B and D lines succesfully loaded, but everything was missing: tunnels, tracks, except the third rail and the signals. And instead of the white cab, it didn't even show up, I could only see the brake levers, the speedometer display and then the tracks on the F line.
And the v1.4.3 works fine with me as well, but I would love to have the newer versions because it has better features.

Hello again, so there's something that I don't like in most of the routes that have outside ballasted sections such as the Rockaway and  Brighton lines, is that the run sound of the train is the same as when running on concrete in tunnels, and it's so unrealistic. I mean that when you are running on outside ballasted tracks, the sound should be like a clear "clac-clac clac-clac". I know there's a way to change that but Idk how, and where, because I took a look in the sound.cfg of some of the trains and saw:

0 = sounds/run0.wav   ;underground concrete
...
4 = sounds/run4.wav   ;outside gravel/ballasted

but it will not solve the problem since both Underground concrete and outside ballasted sections of the route are using the "run0", so I think I should edit the route file, so I can put the "run4" sound on outside ballasted sections, but I don't know how.
Any help would be appreciated!

NYCTA Projects / Re: (WIP) Official Update Thread For The R68/R68A

So after some little sound modifications, including a little howl in the motor for myself, I just love it!! Despite the weight thing but I'm getting used to. And I thought if you are planning to release a howling motor version later, you will be interested, TheExpress/XD60.

Oh ok then, but if the R68 is a 75 ft car, the R46 should have about the same weight, I'm not sure, but the R46 can climb hills at 32-35mph, it's kind of upsetting because it makes me late, but nevermind. Also the run sounds are loud, but that's not a big problem I can change it for me, I'm saying just in case so you can fix these little sound problems in the next update.
