Hmm.. Turns out that happened to me too, no wonder why nothing was working.  We'll have to wait for coneyislandDFNQ to fix that, but until then, we will have to use the pseudo fix of moving the files.

I apologize for the late reply to the posts. Any of you are stuck let me know and I will make a new installer file that should help everyone out.

@Lance thanks for that strip map its sexy! lol
Here were the directories that worked for me

BVE4: C:\Program Files\mackoy\BVE4\Railway\Object\Mermaid Avenue
BVE2: C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Object\Mermaid Avenue

I got it to work on the older version of BVE 5
http://www.bvestation.com/forums/index.php?topic=4215.0
except this one had graphical issues

Mackoy's converter doesn't really work all that well. For our routes to work with BVE 5, everything would probably need to be recoded by hand

Art & Graphic Design / Re: Cortland St Station (1) After 9/11
« on: September 07, 2011, 09:47:41 pm »
Slants I didnt see your post but why are they gonna reopen the station until the tower is finshed? 9/11 Might happen again and then we will all be back from Square 1.
Besides the Station is finshed already except for the platforms there still broken a bit
9/11 isn't going to happen again. NEVER AGAIN~

People aren't going to get hijacked easily anymore. A very good example is when that (5) train nearly got hijacked. People didn't sit and cower under the seats. They fought for entry into the cab to subdue the hijacker. If a plane is hijacked again, passengers are going to follow the example of the heros of Flight 93. God bless the passengers of Flight 93 for sacrificing your lives to protect others.

I heard the Cortlandt St (1) station would open sometime around 2013 along with the new WTC PATH hub.... I'm not sure if the entrance is just a big wooden block now since it is supposed to be sealed off with something more then just tape...

Download and install the first thing from this page (Catalyst Software Suite)
http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-32.aspx

Also, that computer isn't exactly what I would call fast..... how much did you pay for that?

Download Core Temp and leave it open while playing the game 1/2 hour to 1 hr should be enough. Tell me your max temperatures when you are done.

Can you give me a screenshot of the Graphics tab as well?

The immediate thing that catches my eye is your voltage. There is no way that you can be using a 1.472 V with 2.2 Ghz. On my i7 I can achieve 4.8-5 Ghz with that voltage. The higher your voltage is, the more heat produced. Is this a custom built computer or did you buy it from the store?

XP is a lot more vulnerable then Windows 7. Infection rates are much lower on Windows 7 then they are on Windows XP SP3

Also, just deleting malware from it's folder doesn't work. They can easily redownload themselves if you don't fully remove all the traces. Not all malware stays in the AppData folder either. Things like rootkits normally are stuck into the system32\drivers folder.

Anyways, have you tried to reinstall dependencies and the entire game like I asked? Doing that normally would fix an error like this.

Could you tell us your specs, like your graphics card, CPU, RAM etc. If you don't know them, download CPU Z here:
http://download.cnet.com/CPU-Z/3000-2086_4-10050423.html
Press the validate button on the bottom
and on the top use the online mode, enter your email address, and click submit. Then check your email, and from CPU z they should send you a link, and post that link here.

This is normally a programming issue.  I've seen it on programs written with C++ and C#.  Have you tried to redownload the game and all the dependencies?

It would be good if we can implement a autorun GUI and stuff to make installing and navigating the CD easier too.
If we are to include said GUI it should run on not only Windows but Mac as well (and Linux if possible)
Most people with decent knowledge should be able to write a simple autorun.inf file. However, I'm not sure about Autorun configuration files on Mac and Linux.

For Windows, a self launching EXE or Windows Installer Package (MSI) with options on what route to install would be great. For Mac, a DMG file would be the way to go, but I don't know how to create a custom DMG installer. On Ubuntu (not sure about other Linux distros) you would use a .deb Debian Installer Package, I believe. Maybe Jose can do the Linux stuff, since Linux is his main OS

Yeah, its pretty well known. I only do it since my Steam window is always open and I could easily launch it from there instead of going back to the desktop
