Hehe, Amtrak ACS-64 666, The Devil's Sprinter XD...
This is the Amtrak ACS-64 Graham-White 373 Series E-Bell Doppler Effect Fix pack.

In order to utilize this freeware sound upgrade, you must have purchased the NEC: New York - New Haven Route Add-On available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/258643/

This is a freeware pack; in no way is it to be used for commercial purposes. You are free, however to use the sounds for personal use if you so choose.

The purpose of this pack is to replace the default E-bell sound that comes with the pack with a file of the same sound that is optimized for the game to add the doppler effect that is missing from the original file.
The parameters that are required for a sound to exhibit the doppler effect in the game are as follows:
1. File is in mono.
2. File is 16 bit.
3. File is 44,100 hZ
I have also played around with the volume of the K5LA in respects to the bell, tuning down the originally loud bell and raising the airchime volume.

IMPORTANT; Install Instructions; ALWAYS CREATE BACKUP FILES TO REVERT TO INCASE INSTALLATION DOES NOT PROCEED AS PLANNED!

1. Open the "NewYorkNewHavenAssets.ap" pack file with .7z
2. Proceed to open folders until the .7z directory reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\NewYorkNewHaven\NewYorkNewHavenAssets.ap\Audio\RailVehicles\Electric\ACS-64\Cab\".
3. Then open the "Railworks_Amtrak_ACS-64_Bell_Sound_Doppler_Effect_Fix.rar" file.
4. Highlight all files in the .rar file and drag them into the .ap file directory.
5. Click "OK" when it asks you to Confirm File Copy.
6. The installation should be complete. Run TS2014 to confirm.

Thank you for downloading and installing.
Enjoy =)

EDIT: A bit disappointed that they used default sounds from the Javelin EMU. Guess a sound pack is in order here.

FanRailer I like your work on the sounds pack. I prefer Bell 2 than Bell one because bell 2 is louder and has a nice touch.

TS2014: EMD AEM-7DC K5LA & Bell Pack Released
« Reply #115 on: May 25, 2014, 01:49:17 pm »
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3iSGQZX_Wg#
This is the Amtrak EMD AEM-7DC K5LA and Bell Sound Upgrade pack.

In order to utilize this freeware sound upgrade, you must have purchased the Northeast Corridor Add-On pack available at Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/65232/

This is a freeware pack; in no way is it to be used for commercial purposes. You are free, however to further modify the sound enhancements found in this pack for personal use if you so choose.

The purpose of this pack is to replace the original bell and horn sound in the original AEM-7.

Pack Information:
On popular request, this pack comes with two bell sounds (low pitch and high pitch), both recorded directly off of AEM-7DC units, in addition to the K5LA (which comes with exterior and in-cab loops).
Read the "owner's manual" section for instructions on how to switch between the two different bell sounds.

IMPORTANT; Install Instructions; Remember to ALWAYS create a backup file in case you need to revert.

1. Open the Northeast Corridor asset pack until the directory reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\NorthEastCorridor\Audio\RailVehicles\Electric\AEM-7"
2. Then open the "Railworks_AEM-7DC_Sound_Mod_Pack.rar" file.
3. Drag all files from the .rar file and into the directory you opened in step one.
4. Overwrite if asked.
5. The installation should be complete. Run TS2014 to check.

OWNER'S MANUAL:
Once installation is complete, the default bell that is being used is the low pitch bell. In order to change the bell that is used, follow the instructions below:
1a. Open folders until directory reads "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\NorthEastCorridor\Audio\RailVehicles\Electric\AEM-7\Cab\Horn Variation"
1b. You will see two different horn proxyxml files; "Horn (High)" and "Horn (Low)"
2. Open the respective file that contains the bell you want to use; ""Horn (High)" for the high pitch bell or "Horn (Low)" for the low pitch bell.
3. Proceed back to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RailWorks\Assets\RSC\NorthEastCorridor\Audio\RailVehicles\Electric\AEM-7\Cab"
4. Locate and open the "Horn.proxyxml" file.
5. Highlight and copy all text from the file you opened in step 2 into Horn.proxyxml from step 4.
6. Close all open text files and save when prompted.
7. Bell swap should be complete. Run TS2014 to confirm.

Thank you for downloading and installing.
Enjoy =)
