Title: Official Thread for the Midtown-57th Street bound (Q)
Post by: coneyislandDFNQ on September 09, 2011, 03:15:15 am
The Q train is under development by myself with the help of JayJay85. This will only be the skeleton. After completion it will be released to the public. I will issue a CC License for anyone that wants to detail and modify the route as long as you include the Dagard Rapid Transit Corp. and JayJay85's name into the route file. Please stay tuned.

Starting Station constructed - Sheepshead Bay
Current Station under construction - Atlantic Avenue

You put this in the wrong section it should be in official MTA routes not in other developments.

Is this route non-fictional or fictional? Because if it is non-fictional, it should go to the Official Development Center, as Smooth23 has stated

Well actually, regular members shouldn't be allowed to create new posts in that section.  Only authorized non-fictional projects are placed there.  Otherwise, unofficial non-fictional routes do in fact belong here.

Still, I wonder why I see so many of you guys calling it an official thread, when its not really official.  Sure its official for you guys anyway, so we'll allow that in that case.  If your going to make all your updates on that topic, then it can count as official.  If you are like some people though, calling it an official thread and then making more updates elsewhere, or just have a straight out link, you better not call it official...

Anyway I think its better if you guys stop "officializing" your routes, it makes the post section look a bit cluttered.  Thanks.

Smart, if you only give them the skeleton, it'll shut people up about when the route will come out, because they can make it on their own schedule. Cut out the middle-developer. lol

You want it to be like, make your own version of the Q? lol

Not everyone knows how to develop though lol. There should at least be a regular one in development and a skeleton version as a bonus or something.

Can't you (or another mod/admin) just edit the thread title or something?

Will this be an entire NEW skeleton or a continuation on the Manhattan bound (Q) that was nearly DONE about a year or 2 ago?

To answer everyones statements and comments:

@ipac & Twigga : I couldnt post up in the real section but it will be official. I'll send it to yall for review. Yes I dont need everyone to complain about routes that arent done so I am gonna jumpstart it now that I have coding skills.

@ Everyone else: The line is real with no extra details. When I release it, everyone will get it, who ever takes the job of detailing it be my guest.

Like I said it is a smart idea to do that to quiet those impatient people, but still there should at least be an official version seeing as we have almost all the objects to make it possible now (and not everyone that's gonna download it is gonna know how to code, and will come right back here wanting everyone to teach them how to) and a version for people to start from scratch and screw around with to their liking.

The (Q) is finished and will be sent in to the submissions e-mail.

The dependencies are the (A) and (C) lines. Also will be included a new object folder called Broadway. If you have a folder already named Broadway and would like not to replace the files there (unless its from the files I handed out), simply extract the files some where and drag in your files in the appropriate BVE destination folder.

Since the (Q) also shares a line with the (B), I will soon make a post about it. Stay tuned in the Station News page for the release of the (Q).

I just realized what ipac was saying.

This isn't fictional because I don't have the privileges to move or post the topic to the correct area I posted here.

As I stated before I sent in the route and hope people will enjoy. It follows the current day construction.

The (Q) skeleton is available for download. The dependencies are listed on the download page. Enjoy! There maybe a few inaccuracies. Well its a skeleton and not the finished product. Someone with better skills than I am willl "take the throne.

Lol some files is missing because u probably don't have the 8th Avenue lines.

Lol yes there ate some errors but these projects need to be started. How long will we go with the same routes up. We need non-fictional routes. We are slacking. Let's get our skills and start making shit that the site needs. I'm learning everyday about the coding. So people let's step our game up.

For some things, after Prospect Park, I'm sure the tracks should be turning left not right. Hopefully that can be fixed while someone takes over.

Im currently running it right now, and it's turning out pretty nice. The only issue is that all the stations starting at prospect park and northward are too short for the full 600 foot trainlength; just a note for the developer who is taking over to fix that. =) nice job so far though =D
