Here is something, probably will never see again. R40 slant (M) train at New Utrecht Ave on the (N). This was the service change due to 9/11.

R42 & R40 slant (D) train or what is called the Yankee specials. Ran to either Chambers Street on the (E) or 2nd Ave on the (F). I also saw an R40 slant 6 car (G) train about 6 years ago. They were using it as a shuttle between Bedford/Nostrand and Smith & 9th Streets

NYCTA Projects / Re: (B) (D) and (N) Line Update.

I really dont care about any of the bugs. To have this many options on this many different routes is incredible. Much appreciated. As these REAL routes are coming out, I see fit to clean up my route folders & eliminate the fictional routes. As a person who grew up in Brooklyn with these routes & move out to L.I., this makes me feel like a kid again. Again Bravo to you sir on these much anticipated routes.

do you recommend erasing the D route 2.0? Or should it be kept.

(sarcasm) "NO NO, when a route is scheduled to be released, it MUST be released on that day. Thats just teasing us. It's not right. I'm telling the Admins."

On a serious note, give the guy a break. I personally know what its like to recover from a car crash. Take care of yourself first. Releasing the B & C lines was fantastic and did not have to be released, but it was. Be thankful for that.

ok, just tried different trains on the C line. WOW! I tried both the R32 8-car and the R38. Very realistic as far as banking. If you dont follow the speed limits, LOOK OUT. I tried hauling a** into 59th street & almost lost it. If I didnt brake in time, the train would have definately flipped. Once again, Excellent routes, Bravo sir.

How would you make the R46 into a 4 car set instead of an 8 car set?

I have an Open BVE with the train editor. If you have that, make a copy of the R46 folder and rename it to what you want. Using the Train Editor, open the new folder and open the train.dat file. Click on Properties 2 tab.. ....Change # of Motor cars & number of trailer cars to 6. save and your all done. this worked for me. Just thought this might be a little more simple to do. BTW if you do have the Train Editor, this will potentially work with all Open BVE trains.

Station Talk / Re: Favorite Station and Why?
« on: December 09, 2012, 07:55:27 pm »
My old favorite used to be the Times Square. A vast amount of tunnels turns and ramps connecting alot of major lines. One wrong turn and you ended up on the opposite of where you wanted to be. loved it. But my all time favorite has to be the old South Ferry Loop. Only 1st 5 cars could fit along with the major curve & the extention ramps. A true historic station that never changed with the times. On top of that the inner loop that the 5 train out of Bowling Green used to turn around. Although Superstorm Sandy caused havoc for alot of ppl, in my eyes, it put that NEW terminal in its place. A sign.......nah. Just that the MTA should update its system and try not to replace what in this persons eyes.....a historic station.

How to change flipdotsign/rollsign

Press 2 button to start changing the Flipdotsign if you press 2 button again then stop changing the Flipdotsign

Press 8 button to start scrolling the NR rollsign if you press 8 button again then stop changing the NR rollsign

Press 9 button to start scrolling the SR rollsign if you press 9 button again then stop scrolling the SR rollsign

Press 0 button to start scrolling the Route rollsign if you press 0 button again then stop scrolling the Route rollsign

I understand that, but the signs scroll on their own. No button stops or starts them. The signs move with the movement of throttle and brake positions. Am I missing a file or is this part of the beta testing?

Loved testing it out. Cant seem to get the Rollsigns to stop scrolling. When I brake, route scrollsign scrolls without stopping unless I move & then the middle destination sign moves. No way to change the dot sign. Also, MPH is reading in KPH. Other than that, great job.

General BVE/OpenBVE / How difficult is it to build a route?
« on: January 14, 2012, 12:14:44 pm »
Dont go by my post count, I'm truly not a newbie when it comes to "using" BVE. Been on this site since the beginning, just dont post much because most of my questions are answered already.

Anyway, I see how clean and precise the currently released routes are and am not much of a developer, primarily a user. I ususally develop my own routes for personal use on Trainz.(its easier that way). Was just wondering how difficult would it be to create a fictional route based on the old Bay Ridge LIRR line, timeline, graphics, etc. Just wondering if I should stick to just "using" BVE or should I give it a shot trying to develop. This question is mainly for devlopers, but would welcome comments from ppl who have tried it themselves.

I got it working now. This is seriously cool. I would always play BVE normally, but this just kicked it up a notch. Very cool. But now that I have it working, I want to know (maybe this isInt the thread to ask) is what route(s) are everyone trying out. I've used the newer ones such as the F & D lines.

Never really used Multiplayer. Only used standard OpenBVE.1st Time using this. Window comes up, follow steps, "connect" button is inactive. So I hit "start", route loads & it is all black/white/grey and nothing is really visable. Am I missing a file or something?
