Its better to use a text editor like notepad or notepad++. Excel typically adds additional things to the file that clutter the file up.

Im confused, from what im seeing, all the routes(that has codes)is using microsoft excel and you guys told me to use notepad++, whats up with that

What I think you're trying to say is that the open in excel by default. That is because it is the default reader for a CSV file. You have to change that default reader by right clicking on a CSV file, clicking 'Open With', clicking 'Choose Default Program', and choosing Notepad ++.
