What's up people? I haven't posted in a while, so I figured I'd post a good one. I am officially announcing the MetroTransit (E) Line. This will be my first 5th Gen route and will be designed with high quality objects designed by myself, BStyles, JayJay85, and error46146. This route is openBVE ONLY. I will also be updating my Highbridge 8 Line, but that is on hold for now. This route will not be released anytime soon, so for now, check out the screens and stay tuned.

O boy this looks stunning. I assume this is a B division route
-
Looks great! Definitely great!
-
what stops does it make?
-
WOW that is AMAZING!
-
Awesome. But will this route have cab darkening? The new (D) Line was almost identical to this route and didn't have cab darkening, which is why I'm asking
-
To answer all questions, yes it's a B division route, the line is 215th street, queens, to Bedford avenue, Brooklyn, and yes, all my routes will have cab darkness. MetroTransit is a fictional NYC subway replacement. The routes do not follow any specific path.

Looks great! I like what you did to the 198th street walls. You added new fonts on top of a retro wall. Can't wait to hear more from this.

Wow. I'm amazed. Those textures are really crisp. Good job on the progress. Really can't wait for the final product.

TJay this very nice. Question Is there going to be a real K line.

It is highly unlikely that there will ever be one, and if for whatever reason there will be one, it is definitely not going to happen anytime soon
-
Ok Thanks

x2 lol.
Great job tjay! The route looks incredible!
Might be too early to ask this, but will this route feature some animated objects like station timeboard messages and other trains?
-
Is there a way for me to take out your objects TJay? No disrespect to your work or anything, but i run BVE 2 and your objects aren't compatible with it. Is there a way i can remove your objects and use the regular object like on the A? It'll be for personal use only

I think I remember that he said a while ago that his computer can not handle OpenBVE, so he is forced to use classic BVE
-
As stated before, you don't need anything crazy to open OpenBVE. Unless he is using something before Pentium 4.
-
Which i believe i am. I have a Windows XP and i had it for 12 years now... Its crappy honestly
-
Windows XP almost has nothing to do with OpenBVE being operable or not. It's just a operating system.
Honestly OpenBVE would probably be most dependent of which processor you have and the amount of RAM. Either way, even with the lowest settings, you should still be able to run it with minimum amount of RAM.
-
i already stated that i did lower the settings and it still doesnt work.....

What is the error that you get when you try to play OpenBVE on your computer?
-
Sooner or later you'd definitely have to upgrade your system. Developers would slowly diminish making products for previous version platforms. You don't see Nintendo making games for the N64 now do you?
-

before i bought a new computer i ran openBVE on my Emachine lol Talk about Fps, but it did work around 15-20 Fps which was pretty good and didn't disappoint me with the atom processor
-
I didnt get an error, it just lags so badly its not even funny.
-
So, you will need to get a better computer then. Pretty much the only thing you can do.
-

Bro, I believe you listed your PC specs here once before. IIRC it was a single core Pentium, 512MB of RAM and an Intel Graphics Card and lemme just be honest with you: that is a piece of crap computer. Not tryin to be harsh, but it's the truth. Ask your parents for a cheap $550 computer and I can give you a recommendation. There is almost nothing you can do to stop the lagging on any game. It isn't really cost effective to upgrade and programs like Gamebooster will only give you an extra 5FPS, 10 at most.
edit- found it from the old forums

Your CPU code name is Williamnette and IIRC, those things were released in 2000 or 2001. Back in those days, your PC would be beast. Now, it's a really outdated piece of technology
-
I find Haven's Situation strange really, I used to be able to run the A on a P3 machine with 512 mb Ram. Make sure you don't have anything else Running while you use BVE. With that being said let's get back on topic, this can be continued in a new topic

What's up people? Sorry for the severe lack of updates. Just wanted to let everyone know that work is still progressing on these lines and they will become a reality. I will have some screens soon. Just to let everyone know that in addition to these 5 lines, I plan to create at least some of the other lines that run with them such as the A,C,N.. A G line is planned as well and I will also update my Highbridge Line. After that, I am calling it quits.. Life has caught up to me and with the weight of my responsibilities, I will no longer be able to devote time to what has become my favorite hobby. It deeply saddens me because I have gotten a great deal of joy from creating and providing quality content for the community. But as I said, these routes WILL be completed and released, so no worries on that front. I will be around from time to time providing input. Stay tuned.
