Will you also make a non-fictional version of the (W), or will that be covered in the (N)?

So, that means that the non-fictional (W) will still be called the (W) and the (N) the (N), but just this fictional route this thread is for is called the (AR) right?

Also, another question; JayJay85 is now working on a Northbound (N) Line, so will your Southbound (N) be included with it in a package or something?

At 126 stations total, your route easily holds the record for most stops on a BVE route. :P

In all seriousness though, you might want to split this route somewhere because I can't see too many people spending all day running this route from end to end, especially if it's a full local route. Right now, this route is set to be more than twice as long as the (2) or (A) local lines. Mind you, I'm not trying to discourage you or any other route builders or their creativity. This line is just a bit too long in my opinion to be an enjoyable route.

In all seriousness, this route makes no sense. I know it's your creation and all, but that map looks like 4 different lines fused together.

I'm sorry but this route is really too much and doesn't make any sense. Why don't you try doing something a little shorter because I really think this will not work out very well. But if you want to attempt it, good luck.

You need to have some sort of bathroom break for the T/Os. Imagine if you had to go for one of the earlier stops...I can't picture anyone possibly being able to hold it in for that long even for the express.

lol yes, this would be fun to see how fast you can race through it at the current length. but i really do hope theres a super express that comes out with this route, because the local would be a PITA to drive lol =p

It's going to have express stops, I already started on Perth Amboy but I'll finish it once I complete the (N) & (W) I might branch off the (AR) to shorten the stops

Casey I suggest you make your own content than modifying something that was made before.... Modifying a train's texture takes less skill than creating an entire new thing. Just stop with this R142 making and make something different that wasn't made before because it is better for the community

First off I agree with Hammers... and this is NOT your route Casey... Second stop complaining about the changing of the name, read the beginning of the thread if you want to know why. Didn't you learn your lesson? I'm not going to let your nonsense roll onto my thread Casey.... back on topic... if this drama keeps on going I will NOT release ANY OF MY ROUTES

Be advised the platforms are being replaced and stations are being constructed.
on Phase II expect some craziness after Grasmere

And not to sound rude to this but I'm making this fictional route, not you. If you want a 25 stop route or less go ahead and make your own route. I'm already making a super express, but I decide on how I want to construct it not you. You aren't developing the route, and if I keep hearing from foamers saying "do this" and
"do that" I really will stop developing my routes. I have a life...

You are acting as if the community is forcing you to build a route. Do what you please, but from my point of view, MTrainOperator asked a harmless question. He is merely making a suggestion about including an express route. You could have easily dismissed it by saying it's not necessary, but instead you decided to go the "shut up or I'll remove my content" route, which personally, puts you on the same level as those British authors and the "other guy" who pulled his content away from the respective communities all because a few individuals pissed them off. I'm not hating on you, I'm just trying to get you to think sensibly and to consider some TOLERANCE.

Not to sound rude, but all you had to do was say "No" to his question.  But you had to make it like he is forcing you like Simon says, which he probably isn't, just asking a simple question.  Either say no or just ignore the question, it's as easy as that.  You have a life I'm sure, but answering like that will only make life harder for you.

Take it from my perspective, when I'm detailing cars (buffing/waxing) I have customers on my back asking me this and that and I just answer to them this is my way, your way costs more money or I don't do it like that.

Easy, done.  Life goes on.

Heres A remake of the map, yes stations have been cut due to budget constrictions. The Staten Island portion is being redone due to major bugs.
Lines and place-marks that are red are the new routes for the W (formerly known as the AR)
Lines in orange are going to be reconstructed
Note: the W will only serve NY not NJ due to budget cuts

(W) did go into Brooklyn. Back when north side of Manhattan Bridge went into construction and the (B)(D) terminated at 34th St.  This is where the (W) came out of Coney Island replacing the (B) and the (D) was replaced by the (Q) and I believe the <Q> as well.

Let's just say the switches alone make it look crappy -_- so that's why it looks weird...

How do you do such wonderful work? This is amazing, it inspires me to try developing something again but over summer vacation would be the best time.

Thanks nelson :) And if you need any help we can help you out.
Part of the route will be released soon if things go well

I think objects would be a good thing to start off with. Small useful objects that are easy to build. Then i'd try to build a basic fictional route then do a real route like a shuttle.

That's the way to go, starting off small and working your way up, good luck man  ;D

Note: This route will include animated trippers!

Thanks, you know what a route should include? Punch boxes next to the stop marker so you could punch for your line-up. I wonder what this community will be like in the future with all these advances we're having in this community

That's being included on the N and W  :o but I doubt it will be able to be manually activated lol

Lol just the plain box being there is good enough, at DeKalb Avenue after school, you always see the box light up about a minute before the train comes. Nobody will activate anything unless it's coded into the route somehow, if it's possible. Once, you pass a certain point the light will turn on? Maybe like an animated signal but that doesn't matter. A good idea is to have the box already set up. It'll be in the route just for show.

They haven't really been implemented because in order to use the punchbox you would have to verify that you're either diverging or going forward, and you can't activate an external object from inside the cab just yet(at least not to my knowledge). I do have a texture of it, lying around somewhere.

you could just make it an animated file that lights up, the tower punches for the train sometimes anyways

plz excuse me fo' the horribly late post as it's 2012 already...

i'll suggest that you're workin' on a fictional (W) as the title says, fictional? cause the real (W) never ever went to bronx or bk (don't ask, i've only seen the (N)(Q)(R) trains goin' to brooklyn and dont see anything at all going to bronx besides the (B)(D), oh and "did not the (W) go to coni ieland won tame???" i think that's back then when the (W) replaced (N) services to coney island

(W) did go into Brooklyn. Back when north side of Manhattan Bridge went into construction and the (B)(D) terminated at 34th St.  This is where the (W) came out of Coney Island replacing the (B) and the (D) was replaced by the (Q) and I believe the <Q> as well.

wow, forgot about that, thnx.

This is where the (W) came out of Coney Island replacing the (B).

i think that's what i may have asked

didn't the (W) go to coney island one time???

just a late post, so let's get back on topic yo.

From Imanuel

Combining both of the routes since they are under the same company. Please share your comments about the map below.
