*Asterisk means that the 142A project will be coordinated with Bill(Error46146) and/or (SIR) North Shore Line.

Decided to start this one too. The 142 is in full development, and will sport a 3D cab. I'm currently analyzing the coding used in the recent MARTA CQ312 to reference the 3D Cab, and if its possible I will make a 3D and 2D version for those who are unable to run it. It should be possible by now, but whatever though.

The R142/142A project will start from where it left off on the old forum, with the 142 exterior completely done. Work will resume on the interior after I work out most of the details on the R62/62A project. So for now, update 1:

And for the video. I have long since updated the sounds but for now, here's what it sounds like. It will sport the 142A panel with very minor changes until I can get started on the 3D cab.

They are 3d if you look at the picture close enough.

Great job B. Will you be getting another separate texture for the R142A?

I would have posted video 2 of the sound update today, but I just got a whole wave of new sounds from an R142 with no HVAC today and I will redo them and should have the video ready later on in the week. Stay tuned.

Starting work on the interior:

The SetEmissiveColor command has definitely improved how certain faces will react.

holy crap just imagine how good the finished exterior would look if it follows the same standards as these first tidbits!

Amazing!  :D

Well, it's about time for me to head out. Yes, I'm leaving.

Oh, well, not for good, I'm just going on hiatus for a moment. In the meantime, the projects that this post resides in, or requires my input will be halted until an indefinite date. As much as it pains me to put the projects on halt just as they were making major progress, I have no choice.

For those reading this post and begin to go “oh great, development stopped again” I suggest you step away from the computer screen and find yourself a hobby, or a book, because I do have a personal life. A handful of people know what I’m going to be doing from now, but for the others, you just have to sit tight, and use the latest development pictures as eye candy.

Well, that’s pretty much it. Keep doing what you’re doing, and I’ll be back before you know it. In the meantime, SIR has made a very good supplement pack for the R142.

Restarting work. Apparently working out of Sketchup makes the project look a lot more vibrant. I'll continue works from here while looking for a way to convert to BVE, without slowing down computers.

Interior is moving along as well:
