Title: (WIP) NYCT 1 line Update Thread
Post by: Rayvon on April 25, 2011, 01:06:08 am
The South Ferry bound 1 has resumed development a couple of months ago with some help from Twigga. This line will still run to the old loop and may have a skip stop scenario. To cut down on production time and resources, the line will not accurately depict all exit locations at every stop. More details will follow, and as promised, the screens:

Eh, I'd rather the old loop anyways. The new station looks disgusting with all the leakage and such.
Glad to see more IRT routes in development.

Looks good Twigga. Just a note, on the pillars at 110th, the side facing the tracks is backwards as evidenced by the reverse numbers.

Thanks, it'll probably look even better whenever I finish what I'm supposed to detail and hand it off to Joe for structural detail and stuff. I probably won't even play it when it's done because it'll probably be so demanding on my computer. lol

Hey guys, I know it's been months since an update on the route, but I finally got around to doing some more coding on the route itself instead of making and fixing objects here and there.

Rector's done, as soon as I get some more textures from Rayvon we'll have a few more stations on the completed list. Enjoy!

Question...

Who's making manual announcements for this line for the R62as that will run? If no one's gonna do it, I'll take it. I can record and dub in about a day.

Compromise time lol

I know I'm not really in charge of the route, but shit hopefully I can convince one of them to do two different versions, like a rush-hour (with battery runs) and an off hour regular. Kinda like the G or something.

To help Ray and sorta speed up a complete line, I will be starting the NB (1) to Van Cortlandt Park.

Failsafe please take pictures of the walls for every station of you can.

if you take wall pictures, the shots must be straight and not at an angle or else they won't be of use. Right now I need 14th, 18th, Houston, Franklin, 79th, 59th, 110th and 157th streets

Ok ill take wall pictures, what other kinds of pictures do you need?
Anything that you find unique or interesting about a certain object in a station whether its a beam design like the support columns both on the platform and or the track.

I only need wall pictures right now of the stations I mentioned and 103rd street, one straight shot of the wall with the station tile and another shot of the wall without it, like these at 66th:

I suggest you PM the people working for the line. The most important thing for any line is Station textures, so if you get those it will really help progress.

Here's an example of a nice station wall texture i took:
