General BVE/OpenBVE / An experts gratitude
« on: October 25, 2015, 04:20:58 pm »
I have enjoyed BVE as well as the accuracy of the NYCT routes and trains for many years. Thank you to the developers for that. I will say that as a person who....works with these trains, they are very accurate. The routes are extremely accurate.....sometimes scary accurate. Possibly for future projects or updates, trains can have what we call "charge up" sounds. Routes can incorporate background noise while the train is in motion. (People shouting, talking, getting pissed etc) to give users the feel of what a train operator hears. I've also noticed on some routes, developers have introduced "timer" signals. More so on the J/M lines. Very cool. To make those timers more realistic, have them affect the signal ahead of them, not just the timer signal. That right there will challenge any transit buff to maintain the realism and speed required to change that signal. Again I'm deeply grateful to the developers for their hard work and dedication to making these routes and trains HIGHLY accurate........and fun.

BVEStation Network News / Re: The R40 Slant has been released!
« on: February 01, 2015, 01:54:16 pm »
To Mr.Railfan and others who created this, Bravo. Finally someone got it right. What I mean is the Straight Air Needle (red) moves when braking is applied/released. The Brake Pipe(black needle stays put unless you dump the train. I'm with the MTA and to see this train be spot on is fantastic. The acceleration/ braking is spot on. The only suggestion I have is, those 2 red lights that come on when braking, those are called dummy lights for the handbrakes. You should try to incorporate that when the train is in emergency and clears when fully charged up. Then goes on when you put the train into emergency again. But again Bravo to all with this one.

I'm not going to get into an argument about it, but as far as your comment about "People think they're entitled around here" is sort of ignorant. As a person who lives on Eastern L.I., its not about entitlement. People around there see the same ppl everyday, in and around town, on the platforms, parking areas & so on. Maybe the guy was an a-hole, maybe not. When theres something not of the normal (someone filming trains), then yeah, people are gonna call it out.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Re: Objects from NYCTA Q to A line?
« on: May 24, 2014, 11:17:12 pm »
If you know what you are doing, sure you can change the objects.....but only for personal use. You cant release it without the permission of the route/object developers. If you are asking HOW to do it, I would look to the route creators to get some insight on where to start from. If anyone can help, they can.

Looks like you are missing alot of dependencies. Go back to the F page....found here

http://bvestation.com/downloadinfo.php?id=87

then in the lower right under dependencies......Download all those files. Put them in first BEFORE you put the F line in. Should clear it up.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Re: Openbve 1.2 train lagging
« on: January 24, 2014, 05:17:17 pm »
I'm also using Windows Vista Home Premium. I dont think the version of windows is the issue. It has to be your graphics card, maybe the processor of your computer. The Z line is a very detailed route. Alot of the routes are. Couple of questions....

Does this happen with only this route or other high graphic routes like the Q or N?

What graphics card does your computer have?

Are you using a desktop or laptop? (on my current laptop, top of the line, I have no issues but when I use my HP laptop with a 1.2ghz processor & NVIDIA graphics, it tends to lag.)

Hopefully, some of the admins or other members can add to this and help out.

5.0 works better for me. Don't know about anyone else. With 5.0, i was able to control rollsigns, exp/local indicators etc. With 6.0, the rollsigns move when I change brake and throttle positions. Local/Exp indicators don't work. Also speedometer is still measuring in KPH. But I guess thats why its labled "Beta" Other than that, great train.

Holy crap dude, more realistic=always good. Cant wait, post more pics when you can.

I'm pretty sure everyone has their own collection of BVE trains. My favs are the R42's (Full 10 & 4 car) & the R32 cause it is very realistic as far as braking is concerned. Bucks before it stops.

I'd rather a route with few bugs or no bugs at all than a route that will cause errors. Take your time as this is the route update that I am most looking foward to.

All of his trains can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/shadowninethree/openbve

Thank you so much. Much appreciated. Hope to see more updates
