BVE/OpenBVE Support / Re: openbve mac route exe files

You can request a file to be reuploaded in a 7zip format.  Let us know and we'll get it up as a 7zip.  You can then use UnRarX or Keka to unzip the file.

Other Games / Re: Slender

The game looks free based on the link you gave, why not download it and try it yourself?

I did try a similar game for the iPhone called Papa Sangre, the game has no visuals, and purely relies on use of sounds (stereo sounds), and is a horror like game as well.

Content Development / Re: Any Canadian Routes/Trains?
« on: September 09, 2012, 01:04:49 am »
I would definitely want the route.

I would be interested as well.  Usually we can get it put up here, usually through a file hosting service which is then transferred over to our servers here.

My views on that sort've changed.

But what I said was to get OpenBVE on a source code versioning system and we should respect the original developer.

How its supposed to work is that you download the client, enter a username, load the game and click connect.  Other users who also did this and are playing on the same line as you will also be on the same line, and you'll be able to see the player ahead of you.

You'll probably be able to connect, but nobody will be there, as not many people play it, and the server will periodically glitch since nobody plays anymore.  So the experience wont be as nice as you want it to be.

There is a better version that is in the planning stages, that will spawn multiple trains in the game, and will probably go back to the old server/client model.  But lack of interest on both developer and users is what is really holding back the multiplayer OpenBVE.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Re: Switching (BVE coding)

You have to remove the columns when your doing them.  If your using the wall command, you have to change the wall index on the rail  so that one side uses the wall and the other side uses nothing.

Transit / Re: The World's Longest Bus now Seats More than 200 Passengers
« on: August 28, 2012, 08:56:17 pm »
I would think this sort of bus would only be feasible if there were very strictly enforced bus lanes.  Buses these long should have their own dedicated lane that should be separated in order for it to be effective.

Usually to switch tracks, you use the .turn command.  Turn takes a ratio (of something I cant quite recall).  Typically I've seen stuff like .turn 0.16, If I remember correctly this will switch it one track length to the right.  Negating it (.turn -0.16,) will switch it to the left.

So if you have 2 parallel tracks A and B (A is on the left and B is on the right) and they are smacked right next to each other (which should simply be 4m), and you are on track A, .turn 0.16 should switch you onto track B.  Then you would use the .rail command to readjust/add the other tracks accordingly.

I'm pretty sure thats a vague answer, and somebody else can probably offer a better explanation, but see if that helps.  :P

There is a entry on turn on the wiki, though I dont really like it very much since it explains little to nothing, but it may be good for reference.
