If you have a keyboard with a keypad and plan to use F3 and F4, u can do what the others said above, and if you press 5, you'll go to where your train is currently, so if you press f4 and want to see a flyby of your train at its current location, press 5 on keypad.

The installer for those respective routes might have selected your C:\Program Files\BVE\ as your directory (unless your openBVE folder is actually in the bve folder).  Make sure that your openBVE folder goes like this in anyplace  openbve\railway\ and thenthere are three folders-route, sound, and object.  For a route like the F train, u also need the Octavia objects folder so make sure to download that under dependencies and make
sure that the objects are in the right place.  To make sure, load the route, and then click show issues.  If an object(s) is not found, that
means your objects are not in the right place (the error message says
file:asldkjasldjasladjalsdja.b3d not found in askdjlaskjdkladjal;sdajal  <---- that should be
the right directory.

Might wanna lower the volume a little bit-

Go here:
My opinion:
If you want to learn the basics of route building with csv without any vagueness or much complexity, click on "ipaclansite's route building tutorials."  It should steer you in the right path of coding routes.  Later, you could also click on other tutorials to learn off of them or continue learning off of already existing 1st generation routes (G, 7, etc.).  This is all I know; the rest is up to you.  Have fun coding!  ;D

Turn function is not easy at all, you would have to modify everything after your diverge, especially the new positions of the rails in order to make rail 0 run local then.

if you mean you want your train to diverge, its .turn 0.16 or .turn -.16 and turn it back after 25 meters.
If you mean by creating switches like an X switch between rail 0, and rail 1 that is -4 away from the rail for example do something like:
100, (or whatever it was)
.railstart 2;0;0;4,     /*/where your main rail is
.railstart 3;-4;0;4,    /*/where your rail 1 is
*its like rails on top of one another or double tracks that you can't really see.
125, (25 meters after)
.rail 2;-4;0;4,
.rail 3;0;0;4,
.railend 2,
.railend 3,
that should make an X switch.  If you were to run the route, your train would make the switching sound when it runs over it.  Again, you could cover over these rails with free objects of your choice.
Other than that, I really don't know.

Before looking at my very very short video, please look at 4ExpressTrain7695's video (2nd post above mine with the G line) as well as Pacific385's video.
My video is similar to that of the R shuttle train which I posted a while back.  This one is raw from fraps so you could pause to read the rollsign clearly if you want to.  CREDITS TO BVESTATION.

No problem.  I'm sorry I couldn't help solve your problem completely.  For those 8 remaining files, open up your bve folder and hit ctrl-f and search for the remaining files.  You should be able to find some of the missing objects; some were slightly misplaced in a nearby folder (like TunnelR2-312L and TunnelL2-312L), and some were just same names but makes for a replacement wall that you can't see through (or, if not, just throw in a wall from some other object folder as a replacement and rename it as that object that you're missing) That's just my solution :o, but its not that good soooo>>>PM or ask the developer or some person who has the remaining objects.

I had the problem too a while ago.  P line (or its object files) has Octavia\Richmond County objects.  That should narrow it down to around 6 files.  Of those 6 files, you could search up replacements in your bve folder or the objects themselves in another object folder. click the enjoy! button on the bottom right, that'll get you the object files.
