(WIP) Official Development Thread for the A from Lefferts to 207th

Are you going to redo(update the stations) ?

Yeah I do. The problem is that I have not "toured" or passed through the stations I'm working on and I'm pulling the objects from previous folders and updating them if I know and/or have seen the textures to update them with. Also, I saw on MTA's website that they are in progress of updating the Liberty Ave elevated platforms and if they look the same as the Brighton or the Rockaway's stations, they will be updated as such once I get the permission to use the textures needed. In the beta version the platforms used in the Lefferts-bound route may remain since they are currently coded in the route.

Wow, It has been over a year since any progress has been posted, and it is about to be two . I have been on a hiatus for various reasons, but now I am back, and it is time to finish this project that is 3 years in the making for a few stops  . I have found some of most of the files, and progress has started on adding textures to the route. A sneak peek so far of what I have done:

Lefferts Blvd (platform objects will be added later)


111th Street


104th Street


Rockaway Blvd


88th Street


80th Street


Grant Av and Euclid Av will be done after the elevated stations due to the fact that different objects are used for the underground stations.

I have decided to create a guideline for how this route is being developed, which is here.
Within the word document is my ESTIMATED release dates/scenarios for the A/C lines to 207th/168th. It is ALOT of work to be done, and I think this will help with any questions about the A/C development, and help keep people interested as I make my way up to 207th by releasing it in sections. The document will be updated as necessary with work that needs to be done, and so will this thread.

Due to new rules imposed by the lead developers, I can not release the A to Euclid without releasing the A to 207th first .  Obviously it is going to be a WHILE before that is done, and these rules change A LOT of things. Either way, progress pics will still flood this thread all the way up to Inwood. The G.O.'s that I planned to release on my way up to 207th will still be created and released with the route.

Now it is time to work on the Rockaway switches, which are no where to be found right now lmao. This was the original layout of Liberty Avenue before the Rockaway Branch was added.




Lefferts to 80th Street is about 75% complete, with only Rockaway switches and the platform objects (garbage bins, benches, platform signage) at each station needing to be placed. Then it would be time to complete the underground section, Grant and Euclid.

The switches @ Lefferts Blvd need to be worked on before I start on Rockaway Blvd's own. They have been updated with textures from the rails to the catwalks. I'll just let the images speak for themselves...






And progress with Rockaway switches are coming along, slowly....
