Mr Railfan are going to do a R142A Panel

Is there honestly a difference ? besides the number im going to put in the cab , i think they are identical .

The R142A has alot more differences, I'll try to get a pic for you when I go fanning on my B'day weekend (29 and 30)...
I also have a little pic of the cab I took from the outside...and I tell you there are major differences.

Sure i would like to see it so i can make the proper changes.  8)

Hey, you don't have to make changes. I will try my very best to get a cab picture for you! For now, heres a pic showing a little of the cab. There are a lot more differences, those are not the only ones.

Could you pin point the difference ? to my eye it looks identical ???

Err...IDK How do explain that....Ya gotta wait one week, sorry dude!
One thing, that thing with the numbers extend all the way to the top, the RFW is different and the drivers look-out window is different. I also think the operating screen is different and the controller plus a little more.
Btw, that panel is epic!
Now this is what I really call DEVELOPING!!

@Both of you - Yes, you can test. IDK if I would put the Alstom propulsion or not...  :-\
Anyone know if Puertorican88 is on this site?

He's on Teamspeak. Reach him there.

I would like to test

Sure thing dude!
And the second beta has a high chance of a siemens propulsion... :)

Hey guys, the panel in the sound beta is not the real panel, its just the R142 panel with some changes.
There will be two sound betas, one with alstom, one with siemens.

That is actually going to be my next tutorial on the sound page but to answer your question in a nutshell:

1. import files into audacity
2. cut up the sample (anything over half a second is good for motor noise)
3. make another copy of the audio track and reverse the second copy
4. speed up, slow down, change pitch and do whatever operations are necessary.

when plotting the graph into train editor, y=100 means the default pitch will be played (the noise will be played/looped as is, when y values are higher than 100 then pitch will be raised while a low y value would lower the pitch.)

Can you explain more cause I really want a siemens propulsion on my train...maybe after I release the beta with the R179 alstom propulsion.

Sounds are finished, panel is incomplete and will be complete when the exterior is complete.

It is now undergoing testing on the MetroTransit (8) Line today, tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday.

can I test please? ;D

Added! If beta tests are late, that probably means that I'm still doing final touches.
NOTE : Exterior/ interior will be the SAME as the R142A, maybe the panel would be different.
Exterior/interior will be released as a beta when I'm done with it.
Edit :
This might feature the siemens propulsion found on R160s!
So basically you are taking the R160 Siemens set that error46146 released and swapping in the R142A exterior...
that only requires a minimal amount of copy and pasting to do.

I really hope you will do something more original than just that...

Not copy and pasting, I am getting the propulsion from a recording.
