Disable Norton. I don't know about you but I use Internet Security 2011 and it works without problems.

I'm only 15, which means I have to live under my mother's rules. Disabling Norton that she paid for will mean big trouble.

Google how to set exceptions in Norton, so that Norton ignores that file during scans.

You should tell her that Norton is garbage and she wasted her money.  AVG, I heard is pretty good and for a free one, Avast is outstanding.

No Norton is doing its job.I have it also and whenever I'm doing something involving internet whether its online gaming with Trainz or Newtown Openbve it will bring up this message and will not launch an internet connectivity unless you tell it to.The options are like
Always allow(recommend)
ask if.....
never
allow this instance.
I can't remember exactly off the top of my head but select the right one.If you deny "Block this instance" it will not launch an internet connect with that applications that requires a connection.

Your post made absolutely no sense. We already know that Norton is doing its job. He's talking about making exceptions to let certain programs work.

I currently use AVG because McAfee seems to affect the computer's processes and initiates stop codes(BSOD's). What you need to do like said above is create an exception in Norton's security for Newtown. Technically it doesn't delete a program, but it instead locks it away in a virus vault, or quarantine, so that it will not harm the computer.

If you're talking about me I got crossed b\c I was responding to multiple a few comments. Its hard to read on my fone b\c I can't see everything.
And that's what I meant the exceptions to make other programs work.I was giving examples of the options the message brings up.I get the samething when I run NEW or not highly used programs that require an internet connection.

Norton does do its job, but it overdoes it too much. I really don't like Norton, and to be honest, it used to be better. Disabling it would only be temporary, and as soon as you enable it again, it's gone. All you have to do is as stated above, and add an exception entry.

Norton is crap, it finds toomany false positives to be reliable and it uses up so many resources.

No doubt about that, the only thing is, back in the Norton days, it actually saved me a computer once.

Kaspersky Internet Security FTW. Blows Norton out of the water.

I have Malwarebytes and I think it's much better than the Symantec Endpoint Protection on my computer.
