Btw idk if anybody ask this or not but is this going local to Coney Island or will the local version be in version 9?

That's in version 9. This will run via Brighton Express.

holy shit, i was just at coney island this weekend and looking at the pics you took of openbve, looks SO FUCKING REALISTIC, good FUKING job deadass :-)

That would be JayJay's work, he put the station together and BStyles created the phenomenal roof object for the station. I just fixed the position of some station objects to make it a bit more realistic. In version 9 i would like to replace all textures with High quality ones and add more objects (TV's, Station direction boards, etc.).

On another note, i'm hoping for a Friday night release this week (for version 8 ). I might require some Beta testers for pre release checking so please PM me if you are interested.

heres my question
is it going to have a scenario where it goes via the 63 st connection to the broadway line

Sort of. I'm working on a scenario that runs from 96 Street-2 av to Coney Island via Lex-63 St and Broadway. So it touches the 63 st tunnel. No promises on a 21 St queensbridge to Coney Island via B'way yet.

so we can use tat in this route  and that hot

Well you can't really use it because there is no mechanism to switch tracks in game. It does represent the location that you actually have to "punch" for to get a line up in real life. This is why you have to be careful not to overrun, or you will not be able to "Punch" for a line up.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been working on revising the Brighton line for some bugs that people reported. The newest update [version 8] (should be released this week) will go to Coney Island, thanks to the excellent coding and extension of the route from Brighton Beach - done by JayJay85, and will feature:

  • Bug fixes reported from the last release
  • Updated Scenarios
  • Punchboxes!
  • Moving AI trains

Here's some screenshots from the latest build:

Punchbox at Prospect park

Approaching Kings Highway (New Station house hanging overhead)

Punchboxes at Kings Highway:

All of this will be in version 8.

Version 9, well, is a different story. I will be working very hard and rebuilding the Brighton portion from the Ground up, with brand new building objects that are similar to what they are in real life, weather scenarios and a bunch of other goodies. After that is done, I will pass the route to JayJay85 and he will work on creating a Brighton Local version. So stay tuned for more updates regarding Version 9.

Definitely counts. I thought I was the only one who noticed that. It was signed up as an (L) when we got there, then changed to an (F) and departed from in front of us.

Yep! This is exactly what happened. It was sitting there signed up as an L train and then the conductor changed the program to the F and it departed not in service.

Some of my rarest catches:
R142a (4) train rerouted to the 6 line
R142 (5) train rerouted to the 4 line to/from woodlawn
An R143 (L) that was rerouted onto the (J) line and ran express to Myrtle - Bway.
Also a R46 (F) on the Brighton line.

Back before the service cuts i caught a R42 (M) train rerouted over the (N) line to/from Coney Island.

Don't know if this counts but i saw a R143 at kings highway on the F line, sitting on the middle track.

what is the statue on this route if i may ask
The statue on this line is one of many wayside signals made by the Union Switch and Signal Company (US&S). When installed, these signals contained an invention that received US Patent #1,453,535, issued May 1, 1923. This fact is actually featured on the back of many signal cases still in use on this line. However, these were recently replaced with LED fixtures.

There are at least two models of US&S signal used on this line. The more common one is still manufactured by its successor, Ansaldo STS USA. This is simply known as the Transit model. Features include 5-inch aspect lenses and a variety of unit configurations.

The other US&S model frequently seen on this line is not manufactured by ASTS, but a similar model is being made. I am calling this model the N3, as the modern ASTS N2 is similar in appearance to it. The N3 has a slightly larger, 6.25-inch aspect diameter and uses one of two lengths of hood, though I have seen one N3 signal on this line that has both hood lengths installed.

Other recent signal installations on the 7 line include wayside signaling by Safetran Systems Corporation.
The newest installation (not yet active, but signals can be seen near the Times Square interlocking) uses signals manufactured by Alstom. These appear to be their AT model, which gets its roots from a model produced by the General Railway Signal Company of Rochester, New York.

Are you just going to add it to the snow to the other B or will it be a desperate download?

Never knew downloads were desperate lol

Assuming that you meant separate, No, it will be included with the next update for the B line.

Excellent work! I LOVE the snow effect! In those screenshots, it looks like typical weather here in Calgary, hehe.

Also, at the Prospect Park station it looks from the screenshot that it is snowing in a tunnel, which should not happen. I'm assuming that will be fixed?

Yea it's not snowing in the tunnel don't worry. Although i am working on adding in light snow into the beginning/ends of tunnels. This way it simulates drifting snow.

Looking good Railfan! You should look into replacing those benches, trash cans, and subway maps on the platforms with the newer objects. Other than that, can't wait.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't thought about replacing those objects but i will now.

Thats really awesome so if I'm not mistaken the train adhension or something is different in this route for realistic operation like you stated wheelslip so the train shouldnt be able to accelerate and slow down as it would in a dry environment, right?

Yes that is correct, If you put the train into Full power from a stationary position, the train will not accelerate as the wheels would be slipping.

Can you tell me how you put the Destination into the cab where it says Destination. Thanks.

I modify the Train panel in Photoshop and add in the route i want.
