NYCTA Projects / Re: (EDIT): MNRR New Haven Line Starts Developement

The M8 is pretty much done. Just working on some finishing touches and generating consist combinations.

I don't know which direction you're developing in, but for ease of the power change operation between Pelham and Mount Vernon East, I suggest that you have the route run in the Grand Central direction. This is because of the way the power mode change is set up in the current M8; to go from AC to DC, all one has to do is turn off the ATS function, which is default on once you go from emergency brake (which you start off in when the game starts) to full service application position. However, to go from DC to AC, you have to turn on the ATS function, which immediately applies the emergency brakes for a short period of time. Of course, the goal is to develop a plugin that takes care of the power change function from DC to AC without activating the emergency brakes, but until then, this is my suggestion.
I was developing from GCT to Stamford, but I guess I could do Stamford to GCT first, like I said, I'm doing the route to Stamford first, then V2.0 would most likely be to New Haven. GCT to New Rochelle is finished =)

Great job! This is definitely one of the more sophisticated cabs that I've seen.

Too bad they're no MNRR/LIRR routes in development. I'd definitely like to see the Hudson branch be developed one day (or even  Yankee Stadium to Grand Central as a starter) and I'd love to see the Port Washington Branch developed too.
I'm in dvelopemnet for the New Haven Line, see my forum post below my reply :)

Whenever I load up the R68 train in BVE- UserData- Legacy Content- Train, all I get when I load the R68 cab is white. The train works fine, just the cab :(

NIce :)

I'm the developer of the 3D CAB , the ATC limit screen it work like the Japanese ATC applicated on the game.

I don't know if you know a bit of how this system work on OpenBVE

Track.Sta Name; ArrivalTime; DepartureTime; PassAlarm; Doors; ForcedRedSignal; System; ArrivalSound; StopDuration; PassengerRatio; DepartureSound; TimetableIndex

This is a example of the formula for the station . this is an example as may you know to could work the ATC on OpenBVE

▸ Available options for System:
ATS or 0: ATS should be used from this station on. The following track is not be equipped with ATC.
ATC or 1: ATC should be used from this station on. The following track is equipped with ATC.

as may you know to work with ATC is just not only give the "1" value on "System" parameter. You must apply limits on entire Route

example:

25,.Sta EXAMPLE; 12.519; 12.519 ; ; ; ; 1; ; 15; 75 ; ;
50,.Limit 100
500,.Limit 50
1000,.Limit 100

http://www.bveklub.hu/developing/object_animated.html#functions
Scroll down and see the  pluginState[271]   Meaning

---------- On Real Train ----------------
R = 15 mph = 24 km/h
L = 30 mph = 48 km/h
M = 45 mph = 72 km/h
N = 90 mph = 144 km/h

Just remember you must use the Limit on Kmph and not on mph

Japanese ATC System have a top speed of 120 km/h it's the top

------------ On my Train ---------------
R = 0 km/h - 15 km/h - 25  km/h  < ON 3D CAB
L =  45 km/h - 55 km/h
M = 65 km/h - 75 km/h - 90 km/h - 100 km/h
N =  110 km/h - 120 km/h

You must use those limits, with more sense it's possible to use just "[(R)25 km/h] - [(L)45 km/h] - [(M)75 km/h] - [(N)120 km/h]

if you use more than 120km/h OpenBVE ATC Plugin can't handle it and "N" will dissapear.
Thanks for the help =) lol I saved this as a .txt file to help lol

I've set Kawasaki M8 Panto to a Max Height of 5.7 meters, i know isn't the real height but there is a constant height and 5.7 meters looks good.
Hopefully the M8 will be released when I release the route, I want to put random M8's through the route=)
