You can't change the processor. Laptops usually don't allow that. Anyways, even if you could find a way to get the CPU off without damaging anything else in the teardown process I highly doubt that you could find a compatible replacement part that would be any better than what you're currently using.

Ah. Then i'll just hog my mom's PC. By the way, would changing the processor fix the problem?
Wait, can't I just run it with 10 FPS? I only plan to run the 7 anyway. I can't afford to upgrade anything anyway.

you can run the 7, just use the 62 or 62A to get the best possible outcome.

So my crappy PC won't blue-screen? Just trying to make sure, since i'm horrified of them BSODs.

The 7 should be fine as long as you remain in cab view. I doubt the exterior would work

specs on my computer:
processor: AMD dual core
RAM: 3 GB (2.75 usable tho)
system type: 64-bit

OpenBVE works fine for me with those specs. im averaging 20-40 fps depending on the route.

Look up the chip that your computer uses and purchase more or higher capacity ones.

It's not worth it. According to Crucial your laptop's motherboard can support a maximum of 2GB DDR2. 2GB is still not enough and DDR2 is expensive nowadays compared to the newer DDR3 ram. My guess is that your PC has one stick of 512MB and one stick of 1GB, meaning you would have to buy one stick of 1GB to replace the 512 in order to get 2GB. 1GB of DDR2 is around $20... you can buy 4GB of DDR3 with $20... if you ask me I don't think its worth spending any money to upgrade your computer.

Your computer model was created almost a decade ago... it was designed to run applications from that time period.. not 2013. I don't even think your computer could run Microsoft Office 2010 properly! Your best bet is to just make due with what you have right now until you save some money for a new computer.
