Not bad...love the howling motors lol

when you record, make sure  you sit at the end of the cars above the motors so you can get a good motor recording.
i like to record on cold winter mornings since 1) no hvac unless your on a 160 lol and 2) nobody's talking in the mornings

Thanks and thats exactly where I was.But the 1st recording from 183rd to Bedford I was at the end standing up and had the camera near the door.Yesterdays recording I caught the same set it was in the C/R's position 4th car S/B and I was at the end and sitting down so that one came out better. But maybe this should be a secondary R-68.One with regular motors and 1 with a howling motor.
I also have radio recordings and an idle recording but they're too big to attach here(both under 2 MB.)

This right here is ideal R68 sounds with the howling motor. I think most of the 26xx - 27xx have howling motors because I was on a 2711 and it was howling beautifully lol

I couldn't record for long since I was saving my battery for the R1 thru 9's that day. That was the day of the Infamous Post Christmas Blizzard.I would love to record that set again.

With that being said, I'll analyze those videos, see what sounds I can get and then take a trip one day and get the rest. Other than that, this topic will be locked

Use audacity, it's like audio's swiss army knife

Great job! Much better than the current R68!  I noticed that when there is information up in the top right I can't see the speedometer which is really important to me (especially when I'm stopping!), maybe you could move it down a little! Just a suggestion! :)
