Other Games / Re: Second Avenue Subway Simulator
« on: June 04, 2015, 03:44:52 pm »
I decided to take a look at the simulator today. Here's a basic description of the control stand. There is a single master controller, similar to that of the M7 and M8. Power is applied by moving the controller away from the operator, and brakes are applied by moving the controller towards the operator. There is no emergency position on the controller. Instead, there is a red emergency stop button below the controller. There are also two green door enable buttons, one for each side, and a yellow horn button at the far top left corner. Sounds are heard through a pair of headphones.

NYCTA Projects / Re: I Might Make A Line

First, you need objects. If you have no objects, the route will be completely blank. If you want to use someone elses objects, you may need to secure permissions to use them. You may also want sounds, (i.e. announcements, other train objects, etc.) however they are not essential. You will also need to learn .csv or .rw route coding. Note that .rw coding is NOT recommended as nobody that I know of makes .rw routes anymore. It also helps to have a sample route to reference.

I tried it with derailments disabled, and it works fine.

Everything is fine, except the LRV keeps derailing when the route loads, regardless of which route it I try to run it on. Other trains work as normal on the HBLR route, though.

No, it didn't say anything like the plugin was not found. It's just that the functions do not work.

I am in the process of trying to teach myself route development, and this would work great for me, and some other developers.

I can't wait for the release of this route! When it is released, will it already have the change ends coding?

Checked to see the object folders were in the right place, and now enough objects show up for it to be playable. Thanks.

This here sounds interesting. I would like to see more continued development of  this route.
