MBTA Commuter Rail launches "Quiet Car" Pilot program

(1/1)

Bombardier01800:
The MBTA has recently launched a quiet car program in the Franklin line of the commuter rail. This pilot program is running for 90 days. The car closest to the locomotive is pretty much a rolling library. I don't want to get into details as I don't know enough of it, but here is an mp3.

TrainFanInfinity:
Okay.....I have no idea what this is for.

Haven:
We have this in Philly. The first car of our trains (Reigonal Rail) are quiet cars. Our R6 to Cynwyd pronouced Ken-wid, has only one car. So the whole train is a quiet car

It's nothing new, they already have this in place on NJ transit..

Good for sound recording :)

Bombardier01800:
Mmhmm... I'm sure it's not new, but it is in the T. This has got to be rather relaxing, especially going home after a long day...
