I run a 6700HQ at 3.5 GhZ with a GTX1070 and I hit the same as you do lol. Just the way the game is optimized I guess.

Great work on the 142. Hopefully this is the start of more releases the rest of this year.
Well, with the anti-alliasing completely disabled from the Nvidia 3d display settings I get 150-200fps in the game. But anyways, let's not complain about the framerates that much. The reason why I get low fps with the R142A is not because the train itself actually it's because the 6 route is very detailed around Pelham Bay Park that's why, so yeah. But that's a very well done train, just the storm door is huge on the front but it's still WIP anyways. Hopefully the front will be fixed.

Nice work you did here ! It's nice to drive through that Era even if I'm young
Indeed. Not gonna lie I'm 16 myself and I'm in love with the 60s - 70s. I can't wait to make all the routes on my list especially the CC and F

Great Job! I love the attention to detail. If only there was a Pre-GOH r40 or R42 to run it with
Thank you! Yeah I agree those are my favorite trains. I might talk with William to ask him if I can develop the trains with him so it would be faster! Not sure if he'll accept but I'll try my best. Stay tuned for the 8th Ave Lines!

BVE/OpenBVE Support / OpenBVE locked at 40fps
« on: September 25, 2017, 10:51:56 am »
After I got my new laptop in fall July, I noticed not a long time ago that my framerates won't go above 40. I thought it was because my anti-aliasing was set to max and was quite satisfied to get 40fps. But I realized that I still have 40 fps on low detailed trains and routes, even with the anti-aliasing completely disabled! And my specs are:   -Intel Core i5  6300HQ 2.30Ghz
                                            -Nvidia Geforce GTX950M 4GB
                                            -8GB of RAM
-SSD 120 Go and HDD 1To (OpenBVE is on SSD)
                                            -Windows 10 x64bit

Game version is: 1.5.1.5 and I run it with the High performance Nvidia settings of course. But OpenBVE 1.4.3.1 runs at 60 fps.

For example: I have 25fps in exterior view with the R142A (since it's a very high detailed train) on v1.5.1.5 while on v1.4.3.1 I get 35fps. WTF?

95
Very nice work! I'm quite happy with the frame rates. I have 40fps in the cab view with maxed anti-aliasing level. And 25fps in exterior view. But it's kind of weird I can't go above 40fps even with low detailed trains and anti-aliasing turned off. Even though my specs are: i5 6300HQ 2.30Ghz, Nvidia GTX950M 4GB and 8GB of RAM. I feel like my OpenBVE is locked to 40fps for me. I'm sure I can run the game 2 times better with these specs. Weird.
Otherwise great work! That's a very nice train!

Have a nice day!

I'm proud to release my modified 70s Jamaica & Nassau Street Routes!!!

Thank you for your patience and enjoy!

Object: https://www.mediafire.com/file/hia7psn2qt8vgux/Object.rar

Route: http://www.mediafire.com/file/y3z7lzqg90zde89/1970s_Jamaica%2C_Nassau_St_%26_6th_Ave_Routes.rar   (UPDATED)

Sound: http://www.mediafire.com/file/9nik8tpx3yahv9t/1972_JAMAICA.rar    (UPDATED)

NOTE: 1) Please read the "instructions & informations" text file for the credits and other important stuff!

2) The reason why the object folder is big is because I put the LisaRaye 2 and other objects inside the "1972KK" that I will use for I think all the future 70s routes, don't worry I will not make a lot of new object folders for each routes! But make sure to have the Culver, 8th Ave, 6th Ave, Lefshut & Lefshut1 object packs at least for the Jamaica, Nassau St & 6th Ave Lines for the signals and other minor things!

IMPORTANT!

For people who have little issues with the routes,
You should put the "1972JM" and "1972KK" folders in the Object folder.
you should put the "1970s Jamaica & Nassau St Routes" folder and not just the content of it in the route folder.
You should put the "1972JAMAICA" folder and not just the content of it in the Sound folder.
I'm sure there are people out there who put all single routes and sound folders ("QJ" or "KK" for example) in the directory and same for the announcements, and are experiencing some issues with the routes.

NEXT ROUTES I WILL START WORKING ON SOON: A, AA, CC & HH

The routes are now done!!! Here are screenshots of West 4th Street, B'way Lafayette Stations and my new R27 I retextured. The Brightness has been fixed don't worry: I took these screenshots yesterday.

I'm working on the announcements which is gonna take quite a while (maximum a week) but with school.... it's gonna be hard. But I'll try my best!

Hi to everybody,

I'm Max, I'm 21 and I currently live in Paris. Public transportation is one of my POI as the simulation, I love the rolling stocks running in my country and especially in my Région ( State ) but I also like the one in the US because of it's "old look" design in a modern era that's why I wanted to register in this forum and I hope to spend good times here and remember that english isn't my native language so sometimes I might do some mistakes but I understand really good don't worry.
Hey do you really live in Paris? Because I live in Rouen, not far from Paris! It's good to know that there are french people who are interested in the NY subway just like me, or other transportation system, I don't really know about you so I don't know yet. But hey, welcome to BveSation my friend!

This is remarkable work you've done!!, If only there were pre-GOH R40/R40A/R42 trains around for people to drive here, they should be the default trains for the routes, You have paid attention to every detail I see. Very good
Thank you so much! At least the R16 and R30s would be the default trains for these routes, but William (BVEMudwrestle) is still working on the Pre GOH R40 series, don't worry about that, and I believe they will be released soon, hopefully. A friend of his told me I made him want to make his trains faster haha! There are quite a lot of pre goh trains in development and released but there are not on BVE station unfornatunately.

Working on the 6th Ave Stations! 34th , 42nd , 50th and 57th Streets are nearly done! Just need to add new station signs on 34th and 42nd Streets;

The back to school update:  :o

So most of the critical skeleton work has been done, and it is time to do heavy detailing of stations, from signs to benches and staircases. The Rockaways-bound tracks have been the most difficult, as it is a bunch of trial and error just to make sure it lines up properly, but it had to be done. Anyways, enough talk, here are the screenshots of the Rockaway Blvd area and associated switches:
Nice work man! Looking forward to it!

Hi! I'm sorry I didn't upload anything for a while. I've been busy retexturing trains and just got my new gaming pc, and now I need to transfer all my BVE content and other games from my old pc which is gonna take ages. Therefore I'm managing to keep working on the MM and KK to 57th St (textures, stairs, signs) and then finally all the announcements. I'm gonna upload screenshots soon, stay tuned!

Content Development / Re: More Support for openBVE on Mac?
« on: August 29, 2017, 03:28:36 am »
Dj Hammers and most of the people on this site develop FOR OpenBVE. There might be a developer here who develops OpenBVE, but I don't know who. You can search around on the OpenBVE site and see if there is a link to contact the developers of OpenBVE for inquires into implementing features.
Leezer3 develops OpenBVE I believe, you can contact him on BVE Worldwide website. He's a nice guy he sure will help you, I already talked to him a while ago regarding OpenBVE v1.5.1.2 and he helped a lot.

General BVE/OpenBVE / Re: OpenBVE Installation Standard
« on: August 16, 2017, 03:34:03 pm »
Thank you for your help. I installed 1.5.1.5 and nothing shows up. Prior to the installation I at least I could see packages. Now nothing. What is different about 1.5.1.5? Again thanks for your help.  I bookmarked the document about where to put things.
v1.5.1.5 should be working nice with the NYCTA routes, unlike the previous v1.5.1.0/2 versions and more..., where it was a pain in the rear.
Does your game crashes with an error message while loading a route? Or just nothing shows up at all like you said? If so, open the route you're having trouble with with RouteViewer, and look how many messages have been recently generated. If the route is showing up and you have no or a few messages (which I really doubt) then your folder organization is fine, just a problem with the game probably, if there are hundreds or even thousands messages (depending on the route) and nothing shows up at all, it means that you still didn't organize your folders like you are supposed to do.
For that:
1) The folder should be like that: OpenBVE > UserData > LegacyContent > Railway > Object > (8th Ave for example)
                                                                                                                                   > Route > (NYCT - A for example)
                                                                                                                                   > Sound > (8 ave for example)

                                                                                                                    > Train > (R46 2014 for example)

2) Make sure that the directory of the content are right: Open the game, go to Options, Next Page and see if the directory of the Routes and Trains are corresponding to where your routes and trains are located.

Hope it helped
