Discovery Route: MARTA North Line
« on: January 16, 2011, 02:15:23 pm »
Finally another system in the United States for BVE.  The metro system in Atlanta, Georgia, or MARTA as they call it now has the North Line for BVE.

The route is a nice, fast and smooth run from North Springs, to Lindbergh.  The route itself is still quite primitive, but offering basic detailing that is enough to make the ride enjoyable.  The route even features moving buses, animated signals and a 3d cab to use.

From a somewhat urban center to an outskirt of the city, you'll be passing through all kinds of underground, overground and at level stations, and even riding along side a highway at speeds you'd expect the cars to be flying at.

Overall, its a lovely short run, and its great to see something fresh for the United States in BVE.

The route can be downloaded here,

It's a wonderful run but the train really didn't have a propulsion.

The author according to BVE-Routes is liber.  The train is based on the Cl323, and yea doesn't really have good sounds.  Still a nice run regardless.

The route should work in BVE4, but not the train...

The route uses a 3d cab, and has animated buses, it cant work for BVE 4 unless it was converted.

It's a wonderful run but the train really didn't have a propulsion.

In real life the MARTA CQ312 sports a propulsion similar, if not identical to the R143. I rode it into Hartsfield-Jackson once, and it was pretty smooth.
