Speaking of generations, I tried a new train on the F to Jamaica route. It was the R160. WOW is that different. I have been mostly using the R1. The R1 goes to P3 and B3. The R160 goes to P3 and B6! And the P and B symbol is in the same place, unlike the R1 which has a place for each. Increasing the brake reduces the power and increasing the power reduces the brake. It just takes some getting used to. I'm going to try more trains to see what they are like.
BTW, no matter what side the station is on the right doors open on that route. Must be a bug somewhere.
I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying OpenBVE. I grew up in NYC and rode the subways a lot. I remember the BMT cars had 3 folding doors where the subways have 2 sliding doors now. I am probably dating myself!! LOL They were kind of like a trolley car. Man, that is ages ago!
I hope there is more work being done on OpenBVE. I wish I could program so I could help. I believe I saw somewhere it is done in C#. Never used that language. I am very interested in the multiplayer and training classes. On the routes I see various signs that I have no idea what they mean. This is a very interesting and educational simulator plus a lot of fun. I'm going to try the arcade driving mode to see what that is about.
