Thanks a lot! I'm pretty good with computers and troubleshooting, just not coding, e.t.c. I guess I'll wait till I get better or till someone else makes it. Also, is there any way that I can convert the Mark VI from Trainz to Openbve? (I only need the train; not the route/track.) Probably not but just wondering.  :)

I wish there was a way, it would make everything a lot easier for developers. But sadly no there isn't at the moment. I believe if you want that to be a feature of openBVE you should talk to leezer3. He's the current maintainer of the openbve program and he's the one who updates it with new features. You can contact him on the bve cornwall website

So basically you should start with editing a train yourself. To open a .csv or .b3d or .animated file use TextEdit. You can use objectviewer by installing the winebottler program so that you can open .exe files. When youíve got objectviewer to work you should see a grey screen with two icons. Press F7 or fn+F7 to open up the csv or b3d file or animated file. Once youíve selected it you can use textedit to play around with functions and numbers in the files. Though animations such as door animations and rotating wheels wonít show up you can change the position or shape or size of objects and even create new ones. Youíll notice there are three sets of numbers in each line of code. They are to signify the X, Y and Z axes X axis is width, Y is height and Z is length. The BVEstation wiki will explain more. To see what changes youíve made you can press F5 to see what changes youíve made to the object in objectviewer

I hope this helps a bit but check the wiki for more information and I recommend with editing an existing train rather than creating a completely new one unless you feel confident enough to do so

I managed to find a fictional Korean Monorail route for openBVE. Mind you itís nothing like the WDW monorail but I reckon you could use the tracks and some of the textures to help you get started on building your own.

I hope this helps a little bit for the route. I found the BVEstation wiki was a good start in helping me model trains by hand coding however you can export models from sketchup by using various converters like the 3ds converter or the obj to b3d converter on the Hungarian BVE website or even one here by gg train.

I understand you canít access the developer tools because youíre a Mac user. I also use a mac. I did find a way to get them to work. You have to open them via the wine titled program which is free.

However, I am sorry but Iím unable to help as I have many projects to attend to

I have played a bit of MSTS and openBVE and I was wondering if components such as train textures and modelling could be converted of formatted across to openBVE. I have some ideas of trains that I want to build and I feel like there must be a way of getting the textures from MSTS. In some of the trains I have used, the textures have come from MSTS. So I was wondering, is it possible to take textures from MSTS trains to use in BVE? and if so, Please could someone help?

First of all, I'm reworking all the pre GOH trains I have, from the R16 to the R46, when I'll make different versions: Early 1970s, Late 1970s (Original interior with graffiti or new interior with yellow walls and interior orange doors), Early 1980s (Graffiti) and finally late 1980s before overhaul (Completely covered in Graffiti)
I'm currently at the R30 now and about to make the 1979 R30 with the new interior, and then the 1980s version. And after that move on to the R32 when I'll do exactly what I stated above
The reason why I'm doing it is to make the trains more realistic and have a large collection from different eras, so I will not get bored when running on my 70s routes. It's really complicated since every single trains were different and didn't get new interiors at the same time, it can be really confusing.
Regarding the release of these trains. I might create a new thread called "Vintage train workshop" when I'll basically show my work and share it with everyone. The thing is, all the trains are not mine: all I did was re-texturing them, so I don't know if I'll get trouble for that, I'll think about that.
Regarding the routes, if you are talking about all the routes I'm planning, it will take more than a year to finish them all. About the 8th Avenue lines including the A,AA,CC & E, it will take a bunch of months to complete them.
Regarding the announcements, I recorded them myself and added a background PA Wire sound and a intercom effect. That's it, it took a while but it was fun.

A friend of William gave me the R40 trains to complete my preGOH collection cause he also developed them with him, especially the 1980s version.
William knows that I have them so I cannot get trouble, and maybe there's a chance I can develop with William, but he didn't answer yet.
I already fixed and improved them on my side and maybe he would get satisfied with what I done with them.
Hopefully there's a chance the R40 trains will get released soon!
The R32 and R38 are released, and the R16 and R30 in the picture no because I improved and re-textured them to add graffiti and other paint schemes (just like the bright red R16 in my signature for example), and didn't release them yet
. Lucky you. I must say I really love the touches youíve given to the preGOH trains. I especially love the graffiti and the parts where the paint has been stripped off. Hopefully the rest of us wonít have to wait much longer for those either since Iím looking to create a preGOH train collection just like you. If you can. Can you give me a rough estimate of how much longer it will take for the routes and preGOH trains to be completed and released? Just curious. And if you need any help I can try to do a bit when I donít have school to deal with. This is getting long but I would also like to know how did you do the announcements for the routes?

I don't see much difference between the 2017 version and the 2014 one. Other than that I love them!!!

Hi all

I have just changed computer, it was an updated version of the one I had before and for some reason I cannot use openBVE. I was using OS X Yosemite on my old computer and I have changed to OS X El Capitan with my computer specs a lot higher than they were before and now whenever I try to open openBVe, an error meeasge comes up saying: "openBVE quit unexpectedly" I don't understand what is going wrong with it but even if I use the latest version of openBVE it doesn't work. Please help
