Awesome work guys! I ride the Hudson Line often so I'm really psyched to see how this comes out.

The event at the Museum was a great success. All who came had a great time, and there was a lot of positive feedback. If you didn't come today, we encourage you to come try it out next Saturday! If you did, feel free to come in again and have another spin.

It would be pretty cool if they could somehow get the cab of a train and modify it to run the game.

That's something that is in the works right now. Just give it some time.

How's the setup going to be like? Using computers to run the sim, or an actual cab interface, like the one they use in London?
For now the computers in the TM's computer lab will be used.

However we are working with the TM to get something like London's 1995 stock cab mockup display up and running in the future.

We've got some really exciting news for you guys!

Mr Railfan and I have been hard at work in the last couple of months getting in contact with the NY Transit Museum to showcase OpenBVE.

Now, we are pleased to announce that people will be able to play NYC Subway routes in OpenBVE at the transit museum on Saturdays this summer, starting this Saturday, July 5th!
Note that the event starts at 2pm and runs until 4pm, it does not start the same time the museum opens.

We've got a couple treats in store for those who come. Notably, a preview version of the updated Q line to Coney Island will be available to try out.

If you're available, we encourage you to support the NY Transit Museum and make the trip to go and try it out! As always, please remember to be courteous; there will likely be young children itching to try OpenBVE for the first time. Just like the Railfan Window, kids first!

Additionally, please consider donating to the NY Transit Museum so that they can continue to provide great opportunities such as this!

Awesome work on this to everyone involved. I'm incredibly busy right now but I'll have this up on the downloads section as soon as possible.

New side and end door textures implemented:

Anything new for May 2014?
Work is moving along, albeit slowly. Keep in mind that a lot of developers (myself included) have college finals and/or APs and/or regents tests that we have to focus on. Work will speed up in a couple weeks.

Is this R44 going to be frame rate friendly?, because the R46 is not frame rate friendly at all.

The R44 is going to be slightly more framerate friendly, but only by a little bit. I get around 27FPS on the R46, I get 29FPS on the R44.
We are doing our best to keep FPS up, but keep in mind that this train is extremely detailed, so you can't expect something above 35FPS unless you have an extremely modern and fast computer.

With that being said, new high-res textures are being put in:

Can you post a screenshot?

Well for example the R142 is working really good and doesnt lag anywhere. And it's the only train I can use for the V line. Btw do you know anything for it's update (cause I really want them to put some real wheels)
once the R142 has animated 3D wheels implemented on it, it will probably start lagging your computer as well. It's hard to have the best of both worlds.

What are your computer specs?

The N also. But when I try it on the A it runs perfectly (all trains run perfectly on the A)
thats because the Q and N are more graphics intensive than the A. If you want it to lag less, you would have to invest in a faster computer.
