"OpenBVE has stopped working"

Everytime I pick a route and train and press start, it stops and then comes up with the message "OpenBVE has stopped working" and then OpenBve closes. Please help me and thanks.

You're either missing something, or your directory is messed up in some way. You can help us by detailing how you installed Openbve and where you placed all the files. The first thing I would suggest, given my limited knowledge of your issue, is to go here: http://obts.wikia.com/wiki/OBTS_Wiki
and reinstall OpenBVE following the instructions provided on this page for your specific operating system.

Did you install all the dependencies? (Such as OpenAL, etc.)
