Help with train that does not align with tracks
« on: May 05, 2011, 11:18:20 pm »
Hey guys, I noticed videos of trains on Openbve, when a train diverge or rounds a curve, the rest of the trainset follows the track. Unlike my trains who seem to go over the tracks and hit the static trains or wayside signals. Is there something I missed here? If you don't understand what I am talking about, I can post a picture. Thanks. Here is a photo, just an idea to what I am talking about.

I think I know what you are talking about. The train isn't "centered".

You should post a picture so others know what you are talking about.

As for fixing the problem, I know it has something to do with the object files but i'm not sure as to how to modify the object files to give the preferred result.

If your trains use the CSV/B3D files from BVEStation, then most likely your train isn't centered. You have two options: to either manually recode the lengths or use the TranslateAll command.

I appreciate everyone input, but I would like to apologize for one thing. I'm just a normal member, not a developer. When I mentioned "my train" I meant the trainset I downloaded from this website. One day if I ever had the free time I could possibly become a developer for BVE. Thanks again guys,  ;).
