The (E) line has been completed and sent to Phantom909 (Joe) for the final touches. When he is finished, he will announce it.

What do you mean by that?

Well, the original southbound (E) is nearly ten years old (and I mean no offense to the original creators of the route).

you do realize that the E is also related to the L. Both lines are first generation routes i believe :P You can say that to every first generation routes. Just saying

Remember the first generation routes changed the way we do BVE route developing now...without those routes hell idk what we would be doing now...

this is why I am against the generation classifications. The E and L were not the 1st gen routes, it actually goes even further back before those two.

Most likely the (B)(D)(N)(R)(V).I never got the (B) and (R) to work though. :o

Yeah, the L is actually slightly detailed... Everything around it though has a lot of stuff... I'm just trying to finish the stations...

The R was the first one out, then the B/D and the 7 came out somewhere around the same time

Prime Example of a first gen route...

UNDERGROUND

Elevated

What ever you call this (Semi-Elevated idk  :o), This station is kings hwy, but every single sea beach station looks like this.

All stations look the same, no objects, no static trains, no station lables (ex. 36 St), Small platforms, no deatails.

How did you even get that route to load up? Also, does anyone remember the really old L train route that was completely un-detailed? When you were on the outdoors portion, all you could see is the platforms & tracks and everything else was a black background.
Title: Re: Manhattan bound E Line by error46146
Post by: error46146 on April 11, 2011, 10:05:20 pm
that 3rd shot is called "open-cut", they basically built a tunnel without the roof for the sea beach and parts of the brighton line lol

anyway the E is still in joe's hands for those who want to know, and yea thats all i know he is checking it over and adding in smooth curves and switches and all that so please be patient

@SIR I got this old N route from this website: http://www.c3.hu/~kid/bve/nyc.html (http://www.c3.hu/~kid/bve/nyc.html)

I got the route to load up by going into the object folder and pulling out the N.rw file and placing it into the route folder, and placing the rest of the objects into the object folder. (Don't forget to unzip first!)

Hey error can the E have TJay Signal Pack.
Title: Re: Manhattan bound E Line by error46146
Post by: error46146 on April 14, 2012, 11:09:46 am
I don't have TJay signal pack on the E yet..

I have spoken to Joe recently and after a long gap, work will be resumed on the E. I am in the process of updating the E by recording new announcements, updating textures and objects, and removing all V/W train references and adding in the orange M. It might take a while since there's a lot to do and I don't have as much time for BVE as I used to, but I'll keep you guys updated.

Please post them or send them over to me.. Right now the texture I need most are elevator textures, since right now as a placeholder i'm using some ugly hideous hand-drawn elevator I made in paint lol

Anyway hers just a little photo for you guys.. A bit dated as this was done over 3 years ago lol

I think you picked a hard route to do because the E train in particular is always changing I remember
when you thought you were done with the E then they started to add R42's on the route then
when you added R42's on your route they add R160's on the E then you add R160's now they get
rid of the V and add the M I think you should get this route out before they make any more drastic
changes on the E lol

Post by: error46146 on April 15, 2012, 12:06:48 pm
When I first started working on the E the R160's were still testing on the A and N lol... But yea I'll try my best to have it out for good ASAP, hopefully by the end of this year.

One thing I noticed, the platforms at TSQ-42 St are wrong.
Title: Re: Manhattan bound E Line by error46146
Post by: error46146 on April 16, 2012, 11:38:39 am
Yes that is due to the fact that the E is currently in RW format, once I port it over to CSV format I will fix those platforms along with platforms at several other stations.

Just wanted to update you guys, I recorded a couple new announcements & changed all V's to orange M's. Right now I need to get textures of that exit complex at the end of the platform at Chambers St and also i have to re-visit some of the Jamaica stations to get updated textures. (unless if you want those paint-drawn textures from the original E lol)

Right.

While I was working on the original E, this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks) happened.

And that explains the big poster at WTC. Plus the "Remember 2001" station banner.

That will always be in every route that passes the WTC site, not just because the route is old.

Hi everyone,

Just want to let everyone know I'm still well and alive even though I haven't been posting here lately.. I have other things to attend to and havent even touched BVE since June since I released the 46. Right now for the E I am in the process of re-recording some new announcements and modeling the 50th Street station. Once that is done I will pass the route over to Joe (Phanto909) where he will work on the finishing touches and prepare the route to be released by the public. I do apologize about the constant delays and never-ending push backs but I have other things to do besides BVE, and whenever I find time to work on BVE i will try to push out this project as soon as I can.

So I have some bad news for you guys...

My laptop is now finished; it just suddenly stopped working since Friday night. I think it is probably a BIOS problem as it is not doing anything but spinning the fans.. the keyboard, USB ports, drives, etc are all not responding. I took it apart and took out the hard drive yesterday, and once I get a new computer I will have to find a way to transfer the files from there onto the new computer.

Until that happens, all of my BVE projects (this, the R46, R142A, R160 and Westinghouse motor sound package) are all on hold indefinitely.

Sorry to let everyone down, but this is out of my control. I was finishing up the announcements & working on the walls for 50th Street for the E a few days before this happened.

Like I told you a year ago, Bill, I finished 50th Street and already sent to Joe, and he is currently updating the skeleton, and that was the last I heard. I'm using what's left of the E to help Aaron complete his Queens-Bound work. If you can get online sometime I'll send it to you as well.

The best thing to do in this case is to buy a hard drive enclosure for your laptop hard drive. Run quick to J&R and ask them for that same device. Once you have taken out the drive you place it in the enclosure, and it become an external drive. If your files aren't corrupted you should be able to get your files off fine.

Whenever you have time to complete your projects, I think we all will wait for those to be finished so we can run, analyze, critque, and praise the job well done from you
