Well after driving them all...pound for pound BVE has the NYCT thing bagged and tagged... not that WOS doesn't have some play here but they just don't have the diversity and scope that be has...ill give some credit for graphics to WOS...but were motormen not passengers...

General BVE/OpenBVE / 1950_BMT_Lexington_Av_Elevated Announcements
« on: April 24, 2016, 04:50:14 pm »
Well it might be something on my end but no announcements of this famous oldskool route---which is cool---no biggie, doesn't take from how great this track is laid. the timeing is perfect---no reason to speed or jack the brakes---perfect, first route ive ever topped the max ...ever, and im lucky to bag a good now and again.

Placed the old R-27 on this train cause the (1) has no exterior graphics...what a great combo---nice work to all involved...Thanks

General BVE/OpenBVE / Got BVE up and running...
« on: April 13, 2016, 09:20:22 pm »
On my new machine...

Hey all, im running the TOMC on the 7 and the door/open sides are all screwed up side wise---but if I just don't touch them they take care of themselves, opening and closing. Is this something I did wrong with the install or is it the programming of the route? If it works don't fix it--but its kinda jacked... any clues?

General BVE/OpenBVE / My R27 on the "F" plays Disco
« on: June 29, 2015, 06:39:50 pm »
Since Open plays in its own box and doesn't care about background running programs, on weekends i spark up [ http://www.disconet.fm/ ] (24/7 nonstop disco) ... the riders love it since its 1972--- nothing like listening to Streetlife     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnNyxy7XPfs   while running up top looking down at the city...

Plug in your favorite tunes in the background... not to loud to overcome the callouts...

BVE/OpenBVE Support / R40 Slant Problem
« on: June 28, 2015, 04:07:16 pm »
The R40 Slant is back up and its a gem of a cab and cars---the problem is that the brake lever blocks the right hand part of the digital speed display---no biggie for some but its hard for me to see the small print of the keyboard speed option. I learned how to change the view in MSTS but im clueless what to change in the cfg file---it only need to move the view a tiny bit to the left for me to see the full speedo... any help would be great  Thanks

OK lerkers heres your chance to post...    and use the best dang cab-view in BVE history...

What you need:     (all @ BVES)

1: Gline (Southbound) there are some Dependents, but there well worth the time...its a great looking med/short line of 15-20 min.

2: R46 (2014)---use 8 car train only. (easy single op train)

3: Use the Open/Smith to 9th RAIN version only.

4: Post your best run...no need for screen...well take your word for it... = )

General BVE/OpenBVE / Official Redbird Nut Thread
« on: June 20, 2015, 12:30:09 pm »
Well since the forums are deader than a hammer and this place has been reduced to a hand full of lurkers, I decided to start a Redbird lovers thread... yes the old bird is not dead here at BVES and Open for that matter.

Im currently running that oldskool truck on the 2 and the 7...the duals and that no-frills cab make the drive a joy and a blast from the past...bet on red...

Over from msts cause theres only a couple decent sub routes unless you can access UKTS (which I cant for some odd reason) totally impressed with open, love a 19 inch cab and all the rest...very nice, only bummer would be no save game option.

Currently cutting my teeth on the 6line, which is a fine piece of work...hope to get better at my job before the let me go...lol.

Big Thankyou to all the fine developers and builders who work from here and link to here, very nice works...    ill try to keep the forum alive with dumb questions...  = )
