Because of recent developments the TOMC project has been split. The R33-WF and R33-WF RFW view is going forward as a joint project between me and Mr. Railfan.

For everyone else, if you want to keep up with the development of the R12, R15 and R17 cars, which i will take over for them to help them progress, see this thread:

http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=1538.msg18141#msg18141

I encourage everyone to help contribute so that we can have plenty of resources!

The detailed sections is still on the works, so the R21/R22 will be a Hand-coded/sketchup hybrid model, as opposed to completely hand coded or completely sketchup (to maintain the train FPS friendly).

Also, this thread will now cover the R12, R15 and R17 as well, as i am working on the exterior views, panels, and sounds, to help them progress for their Train of Many Colors Project.

For updates on the R33ML and the R33WF which is being worked on by DJ Hammers and Mr. Railfan, see the following threads:
http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=86.0 (R33ML)
http://forums.bvestation.com/index.php?topic=331.0 (R33WF)

The R21 is also still being slowly worked on. It is now sound accurate as much as possible.

Since the R15 and R17 have the same propulsion and traction motors as the R21/R22 (and the R16 which is covered in another thread), they too are already sound accurate as much as possible.

The R21/R22, as well as the R12, R15 and R17 will have interiors once they are nearly complete.

Thanks to PuertoRican88 for granting me permission to use his R10 model, that will be used for the basis to create the R12 model.

The version of the R12, R15 and R17 subway car in their original paint schemes will be part of DJ Hammer's and Mr. Railfan's Train Of Many Colors project, not a separate download (since it will be a bundle).

The silver and blue livery version of the cars, will be part of the IRT Silver/Blue Livery Pack that i am working on.

I'll give you a few teasers on the silver/blue livery. The museum colors will follow once i have gathered enough textures:

Here is the R12, using PuertoRican88's R10 model with permission:

The curved roof still needs minor adjusting for now. Yes, i know, the headlights are in the incorrect spot. It is still being worked on, then the template model is ready.

R15 template model

R17 template model

(Storm door texture will be corrected so that it matches the color of the stripe)

This will be the template for both paint schemes as well for the R15 and R17. Again, the paint scheme the museum cars have will be part of the Train Of Many Colors.

Here's my R21, revisited

All have curved roofs as standard, thanks to Mudwrestle's help, and PuertoRican88, since his R10 model already has a curved roof.

I encourage everyone to please contribute, so that we can all have a beautiful train.

Just came back from the Shoreline trolley museum, and got some photo's of 6688. I'm uploading them to the contribution area, in a few minutes. I post a preview, to get you're guys opinion, and at CT1660, when i saw that r12/14 and scrolled down, my jaw went with. ;D

Looking good, you should also make an R11 sometime, and then some IRT Redbirds like the R36. And to clarify, all these models you are making will have the W/G stickers too, right? And if possible, could you maybe make both a Westinghouse and GE version of each train where it is appropriate? Great so far though  ;)

Yup.

to clarify some things:

R12
Silver and Blue - Westinghouse
Museum Colors for TOMC - General Electric (5760 is a GE car)

R15
Silver and Blue - Westinghouse
Museum Colors for TOMC - General Electric (6239 is a GE car)

R17
Silver and Blue - Westinghouse
Museum Colors for TOMC - General Electric (6609 is a GE car)
Possible Redbird Scheme - General Electric (6688 is a fine example, also GE)

R21/R22
Silver and Blue - Westinghouse and G.E.
Work Scheme - Westinghouse and G.E.

I'm not sure how the R12 sounds like but i'm sure it sounds similar to the other classes.

Now working on the beginnings for the interior for the R15:

Will have interior lighting for night time conditions as well.

Still many more textures to make photorealistic, lol.

This concludes tonight's progress for the R15 interior. More work will be done later, including finishing the interior textures, adding the ceiling, seats, etc.
