The original A, B, C and D lines have been upgraded for OpenBVE and available here:
http://www.bvestation.com/downloadinfo.php?id=75

NOTE: None of the contents of the original 4 routes have been modified, this upgrade only affects in-game performance and disk space

From the Readme:

A/B/C/D lines for OpenBVE v 0.9

Originally created by Joe (Phantom909) and the NYCTBA Staff

For more info refer to the individual readmes for each route

This Pack upgrades the original A, B, C, and D lines for improved use in OpenBVE. This package includes the unmodified contents of the orignal image files converted to .png for smaller disk usage, faster load times and smoother operation.

TO INSTALL
Unpack the 7z archive to your /Railway Folder, you will need to download the sounds seperately by downloading the original route installers (or their 7zip alternatives, whatever floats your boat) and extracting the sounds

TO ADD TO AN EXISTING OPENBVE INSTALLATION
Delete the 6thAve, 8thAve and LefShut folders in /Railway/Object first, then extract the archive to /Railway

A few words of caution:

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THESE ROUTES OR OBJECTS IN BVE 2 OR 4

THESE FILES MAY NOT BE RE-USED IN ANY WAY WITHOUT PERMISSION

DO NOT CONTACT ME FOR PERMISSION TO USE THESE FILES, REFER TO THE ORIGINAL READMES FOR CONTACT INFO

I HAVE NOT TESTED THE OBJECTS WITH OTHER ROUTES THAT RELY ON THEM, YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY

THERE ARE A FEW ERRORS THAT WILL POP UP WHEN YOU LOAD THE ROUTES, I AM AWARE OF THAT AND I AM WORKING ON IT, VISUALLY EVERYTHING IS FINE

Happy Operating

NYCTA Projects / And the Only BVE 5 compatible route we have is...
« on: September 08, 2011, 05:54:54 pm »
*Drum roll* The Franklin Avenue Shuttle! If you have the necessary tools and everything needed to run the route (As in no missing files) Then you can use the converter to create a BVE 5 version of the route. There are some visual problems, but they're nothing major and the route is perfectly playable.

So why is the Franklin Ave Shuttle the only BVE 5 compatible route? It's because it was the only route released specifically for BVE 4, meaning that the objects are all in .csv or .x format and the route coding is BVE 4 compliant. All of our routes still use .b3d objects so they will not be able to be converted.

Here are some Screens:

Other Projects / Bronx River Line to Cross County
« on: June 29, 2011, 11:15:11 am »
That's right, I'm back at it again. I am currently in the early stages of developing The Brox River Line, an embankment/underground line along the Bronx River to the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers. The 'Official' Designation for the will be determined at a later date, but it is an IRT route. This route will tie into a future project that will begin after I complete development on the 3 line. I have eliminated the Yonkers loop portion of my Super Route and incorporated the stations into this line. I am upping the ante this time concerning new commands by using a couple of more that will not only cut production time, but will add more surprises to the route. one of these commands are already in use in the 8 line, which will see release soon as well. More info/pics to come after I finish the skeleton.

Map of the route:

BVEStation Network News / Riverbank Park Shuttle Updated
« on: June 13, 2011, 12:59:48 am »
An OpenBVE exclusive version of the Riverbank Park Shuttle using TJay's new Objects and Signals is now ready for download! You can get it here:
http://www.bvestation.com/downloadinfo.php?id=36

EDIT: I have added beacon commands to the route, making TJay's signals fully functional with OpenBVE! re-download the file and overwrite; if you installed everything correctly then it'll run perfectly.

NOTE: You must use a train with both ATS-SN and ATS-P enabled for the timers to properly function. The R62A is already set to go but other trains may not be.

I have made a fix for the R68 to make it OpenBVE compatible (somewhat) and address some performance inaccuracies. It will only be available in this post as there is one already in development and this is not a project. Feedback is welcome and enjoy

NYCTA Projects / (WIP) NYCT 1 line Update Thread
« on: April 25, 2011, 01:06:08 am »
The South Ferry bound 1 has resumed development a couple of months ago with some help from Twigga. This line will still run to the old loop and may have a skip stop scenario. To cut down on production time and resources, the line will not accurately depict all exit locations at every stop. More details will follow, and as promised, the screens:

NYCTA Projects / NYCT 8 Line
« on: March 03, 2011, 04:23:09 pm »
I have resumed work on all 4 routes that I have had in development, one of them is the original 8 line from 149th Street to Gun Hill Road. The premise behind the line in development is that it's a fictional rendition of how the line would look if it was still operational today. This route was my 'guinea pig' of sorts, as I have used many of the techniques implemented in this line for other projects, most notably to create the timers in the Riverbank Park Shuttle. One feature exclusive to this route is the use of the random command. A retro version may eventually be made since I am using the skeletal data provided by Joe. The line is essentially 90% done to Tremont Ave, 2 stations need canopies and I have to finish adding signals. Screen shots will follow soon.

  • The run now begins at Avenue X. There is no word on the CI terminal, at all. All questions about it will get you the same answer unless said otherwise by Joe
  • You need the A and V lines to run this route

  • The package also includes graphical fixes to the fictional 7 to Valley Stream route
Enjoy!
PS: As a precaution, make sure you have all files needed to properly run the aforementioned lines.
