is it doing to be a whole separate route and will it include the coney island M train
Yes the new version of the Nassau St routes will include updated objects and textures and improved stations. The J,KK,MM and QJ are being extended from 121st Street to 168th Street, the M and QJ routes will also be extended to Coney Island via Brighton and the KK will have a new scenario from Rockaway Parkway to 57 St - 6 Av

While taking a little break from the 8th Ave line, I'm working on the old Jamaica EL from 168th St to 121st St for the final version of the 1970s Jamaica lines.

Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyy nice man, you gonna work on the Post-GOH afterwards or just leave it as the Pre-GOH?
Thanks! Yeah I'm also planning to update Post GOH R40/M/42.

New update on the R42:

Exterior and interior finally rebuilt, 3D straphangers, made some new 1969' interior route map rollsign (in which I'll need to lower the resolution unfortunately due to black/white textures sometimes happening) that I didn't finish yet, only finished the E, F and KK routes.
Note that I'll also make LQ version of the train for low end computers with 2D straphangers and lower rollsign textures resolution and size.
The lighting differences between "A" and "B" cars will be fixed and door indicators on the outside will be added.
Regarding the bonnet I'm mentally preparing myself and I'll keep that for the last.
Anyways here are screenshots:

Looking good! Can we have some screenshots of the pre-GOH R40 Slant?
I will work on the slant after I finish the R40M. The R42 is finally rebuild, I'm currently fixing the shadows on the cars with the lights turned off and making new interior rollsigns, stay tuned for new screens later

Thanks for letting me know i will reupload soon
The R142A needs to be updated with new propulsion sounds and have the huge storm door fixed. I had to put the sounds of the old R142As on it.
The R142 is great nothing to say about it, great work!

I'm proud to post the scenario list of all 8th Av lines and other extra lines I'm planning to do. It shows you the hard work I will have for many months. Note that some scenarios are not confirmed, some might get removed, or some more might be added. The tagged scenarios are SECRET and you'll have to discover them by yourself on the final release while operating on them, please do not try to guess or even zoom like a mad man to see what's behind or at least do not say what do you think is behind the graffiti; to avoid any loss of suspense.

Reduce those signs to 256x64 or 256x128. You will not know the difference from far away.  Keep them in PNG format to reduce the size of the file.
Yeah I'll see

Hi ... are you using PNG files or JPG files for your images.  Also what are the dimesions of your images?  Looks real good ... and yes these things take a lot of time and effort.

It looks like you do like to pay attention to detail like myself.  Because I am designing an outside line that will eventually go into a subway, I am using the GROUND command for surfaces, buildings, street lights, etc.  Also for fencing not rendered by the DIKE command.  What are your thoughts about this?
I mostly use BMP and PNG. Regarding the signs, most of them are at around 3000x768, but I think lowering them as they take time to load every time I'm approaching a station resulting in annoying 2 seconds freezing
And thanks for the support, I saw the route you are making and I'm quite impressed with the detailing and looks like I will enjoy it. And yes I pay attention to almost every detail as well, especially for a vintage route with old exits and stuff. Unfortunately I rushed so much on the 1970s J/KK/M/MM/QJ
routes that I will rework on it and make the QJ from 168th St and M to Coney Island via Montague tunnel and Brighton. Stay tuned for 59th, 50th and 42nd Streets soon.

great route is this still in progress
Of course it is, I'm working on it every day.
I expect the 1968-1979 8th Ave lines to be completed within a year though, but it will be worth the wait I promise.
Stay tuned for the scenario list

Okay, time to revive this thread back!

Thanks to William who granted me the development of the preGOH R40/M/42, I'm now officially developing them from now on, and will finally release the long waited trains once finally completed so you can enjoy them on the 1970s B'way/Nassau St/6th Ave lines

The new trains will:

-be rebuilt to approximately real sizes with same distances between each door openings, ect.
-be more detailed with 3d skirts, windows seats and a rounder roof and bonnet
-have a better front (especially for the R40 Slant), anticlimbers, ect.
-have better textures, window reflections,ect.
-include all versions from different eras from the early 1970s to GOH with graffiti, new 76' rollsigns and new 78' interiors, ect.
-include mixed R40M-R42 consists
-have the interior and rollsign lights turning on and off by pressing a key.

I'm currently working on the 1969-1973 R42, the train is still being rebuild so some stuff will have to be fixed again, Then I'll start making the other versions and then make the R40M out of it. The slant will come later.

Anyways here are screenshots, the first screenshots show the early improving work of the train showing the new rollsigns and the last ones show the current state of the rebuilding:

A little update on the 1973 A line. Yes, a little one. I'm currently having a work experience so I don't have much time, and also I started to develop the preGOH R40/M/42.
Anyways, more detailed tower at 207th St (thanks to Ryan J. Terry for textures), stairs with old classic handrails, old DNE signs, new static/animated train textures from in-game screenshots, new tunnels (from 3line objects), exit indications on wall tiles as well as closed exits (open back in the days of course), glowing light bulbs and I think that's it. I'm already at 81 Street but I'll leave it and 72nd St for later and continue to detail from 59 St to Euclid Ave.

Holy shit nice work! Keep it up
