Wheels are running off the rails as the train goes through the turnout in the screenshot above,
probably due to the cars not being properly centered.
Too many developers still do not comprehend the need to center train car objects (B3D or CSV)
in both the X and Z dimensions.
Otherwise a great looking train and screenshots.

The train and trucks are actually centered equally. It's always been that issue with the switches that makes the train appear to be off the rails...

Yes, since bogie trucks usually do not swivel in openBVE, there will normally be some "derailing" through curves,
but this looks more severe than normal, like something is not kosher.
Is it possible the Train.dat or Extensions.cfg car length is set longer than the B3D or CSV car object length?
Which train download is this?  If you do not mind, I would like to check the configuration.

The trucks pivot as they are treated as a separate car.

If the trucks are assigned as seperate cars, the wheels should track very accurately,
staying on the rails through the sharpest curves and turnouts.
Please don't take offense, but there is something wrong in the configuration.

There is nothing wrong with the thing, it's the limitations of OpenBVE... you're just exaggerating. It happens w/the R46 as well.

A video of a OpenBVE UK train with bogies/trucks assigned as seperate cars,
perfectly tracking the rails through very exaggerated curves.

or on the http://bveworldwide.unlimitedboard.com/forum as "MrKnowItAll".

The R46 likely has the simular configuration errors.
Such well detailed car bodies and seperate trucks should track correctly.
Denying/ignoring the obvious problem just looks bad to users and other developers.

I remembered a tutorial on articulated bogies for openBVE, just took awhile to find it.
Here's the PDF.

It isn't the train developers fault it is the route developers for creating S curve switches in actuality the train follows a straight switch path.

...

That could be the problem, the turnout object being dimensioned or positioned incorrectly.
Observing other trains running on other non-NYCT routes,
even cars that do not have seperately assigned swiveling bogie/trucks
the wheels follow the rails more closely through S curves and double turnouts,
compared to the above screen shot.
I recommend double checking the trains car/truck configuration to make sure it's correct.
