Looks similar to BVE4 in terms of the interface:
BVE 5 TrainSim Full Version Gameplay (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y13RvnoXSWk#)

Interesting. OpenBVE is still better though, IMO
-
Finally moving static trains
-
@Slants
Yes I cannot agree more
@Subway Train Operator 5
I will agree since BVE5 does not have the specific features
that open bve already has
-
The only plus I see from the video is the static train behavior, but that is not something new to openBVE.

Yeah, but in OpenBVE the trains can only go straight, but there is a slight chance that Michelle will implement the turning static train feature from BVE5 and put it in a future version of OpenBVE. So none of us need BVE5, really.

Hell yeah!
-
i might be able to run this... if i can run BVE4 with no problem but a few lags, this will surely work
-
Well seeing as I was able to run it straight out the box with no dependencies, it converts my content for me and that it's implementing OpenBVEs features better than michelle has, I gotta give this one to Mackoy. If you translate the download page it'll show you all of the features he's working on for the next BVE 5 release, and BVE 5 already eliminates the need for curved rails.

BVE 5 should've just been simply backward compatible with BVE2/4 files. It would've been much better that way, since there are people on Windows Vista/7 wanting to use BVE2/4 but have those issues with DirectX.
If BVE 5 can feel like BVE2/4, which I'm guessing it should, then it will be great. Sometimes I really don't like the feel of OpenBVE.

I am having a little trouble installing BVE 5. I want step by step instructions of how I can install it on my computer which uses Windows 7.
-
It's basically the same as installing BVE4.
Click the first link for the Main Program. Run it. Install the program. Download the second link for the Scenario Data(NOTE in BVE5 Routes are considered Scenarios) then drag the Entire Folder into My Documents. It MUST be under My Documents in Windows 7 or you won't have any routes.
-
BVE5 looks interesting. Especially what BVE 5 can do with static trains - nothing openBVE can do at the moment.
I thing I'm going to enjoy this after a year and some months of not playing BVE.

I finally got BVE 5 Working on my computer. Now how do I get the new york city subway routes running on BVE 5?

You won't be able to besides the Franklin Ave Shuttle. The others aren't compatible.
