It seems that the founder of openbve has chosen to discontinue updating Opnbve and create future versions of the program. See it for yourself.

I hope that this does not mean the end of this community as I and many other developers are still developing projects. plus there's still BVE 5 to look up to.
-
That's a shame. I have a feeling that it might be the end for some people here.
-
Pretty unfortunate, but it does not matter since we will always keep making routes and trains
-
Sooooo back to BVE 2/4?
-
No, OpenBVE will still be downloadable and routes/trains will continue to be made for it, it is just the development of the main program that has been discontinued
-
JUST TO CLARIFY:
OpenBVE DEVELOPMENT was discontinued. HOWEVER, OpenBVE is AVAILABLE for download from openBVE.org (http://www.openbve.org).
-
damn....
We'll im getting more used to BVE 4 now... are most routes here BVE 4 compatible?
-
Maybe she might come back.
-
While that is unfortunate, I don't foresee any return to BVE2/4 route/train development. The amount of users with Windows XP is dwindling quite rapidly and BVE2/4 aren't compatible with anything over XP unless you modify your computer.
