Question about the R62A run sounds
« on: November 28, 2011, 10:06:32 pm »
Hey guys, so I've been running the R62A that you can download here, and the run sounds are amazing and all, but the thing is, they're programmed so that the intervals increase according to the km/h of the train and not the mph. So for example, the run sounds at 20 mph are actually supposed to be the ones at 32 mph (as 32 km/h = 20 mph). So in short, the run sound intervals increase faster than they should.

I've tried changing the speedometer display from km/h to mph through the panel.dat file, but that has no effect on the run sound interval change, and I can't find anything in the train.dat file that would correspond to run sounds; just motor sounds.

Any help here? Thanks =)

That is a problem with the sound file itself, playing around with the panel and graphics will not help much.

Can you tell me what program (BVE2 or OpenBVE) you are using?

mmmm openBVE, which is probably why the sounds are like that. I run windows 7 on my new laptop, so it would be quite some work to make bve 2 and 4 compatible for that pc.
