I have them and my openbve work fine, I am just wondering where I extract the .7z files too.
Do they go into the BVe folder, the railways, routes, or objects folder?

The Routes go in the Route folder INSIDE the BVE folder, Objects in the object folder INSIDE the BVE folder, and Sounds in the sound folder INSIDE the BVE folder ;)

@bve - That somewhat helps, you have to remember the .7z files have everything combined.

If anything, the .7z files should be extracted to your C:/Program Files/BVE/Railway folder or wherever that you have the BVE folder saved to.  You extracted it there because in most cases the .7z file is one folder with the "Object," "Route," and "Sounds" folder combined.  It'll all follow through and extract to the right places.

« Reply #154 on: January 01, 2012, 07:33:46 pm »
Ladies and Gentleman i would like to say that i have been  updating the F line for quite some time [With JayJays permission of course ] and wanted to make a public announcement on the Subject.

Version 5 of the F line will include Tjays signal pack and a bunch of custom timers i created . The main updates of Version 5 will Include:

graphical fixes, including new buildings and updated station textures . The update will also include all updated signals and timers in their appropriate locations. Version 5 will also include the brightness command so that the cab will dim in the appropriate times , For Example : when entering tunnels . Version 5 will also include updated Crystal clear automated announcements.  Another addition will be scenarios.

There will be a Day and night version to each scenario.

The Scenarios will be Split into "Rush Hour", "Weekend" Weekday" and "Late night" divisions . Each of these divisions will include their own route files with the proper announcements set up , so no more hearing transfer for the Z train even though its a late night route.

Every division[Rush Hour , weekday , weeknight and late night]  will include various short turns and different places of starting.  Here is a look at how the rush hour scenario will look like :

-Rush Hour [The rush hour folder will include these routes]

  • Ave X to 179st - Culver LcL/6av EXP/via 53st(E line)
  • Ave X to Church Ave - Culver Exp
  • Ave X to Church Ave - Culver LCL
  • Coney Island to 179st - Same routes as above expet starting at CI

  • Kings Hwy to 179st - Same as CI to 179st Except starts at Kings Hwy
  • 2nd ave to 179st - Same as CI to 179st Except starts at 2nd ave in Manhattan

These are the base routes that will be included in every division [Weekday , Late night , Weekend , and Rush Hour] and all will have a day / night variation , with the exception of Late night routes .

Please expect more News and updates in the coming weeks as i will be updating my progress .

If you want a preview of how the updated Culver line looks , you can check out this video:

Thats awesome! Quick question that (F) via 6th Av Exp run via local?
In other words an express train running via local tracks or will it diverge on to the 6th Av Exp tracks?

as it stands right now , it will run EXP via LCL , but if i get signal info for the express , i can code it to make it diverge to the express.

i havent updated it yet but i might update it with the new objects [Tunnel track , Beams etc. ] I have noticed a large reduction in FPS once a route uses them so thats why i havent implemented them yet.

They are FPS killers indeed the tunnels are fine enough but its your decision  ;)
