Train Simulator 2016 / Re: TS2016 CTA Routes Link Down
« on: March 10, 2016, 11:03:31 pm »
The newest capture of the website on the Internet Archive (aka Wayback Machine) is from January 2016. Although the newest version download link wasn't archived, it is possible that an older version link, or even an older capture is working.

Make sure to have OpenAL and the .NET 4.5 Framework installed. Also no need to bump an old topic.

Do you have OpenAL and the .NET 4.5 Framework installed?

As far as I know the 2 to Wakefield-241st hasn't been publicly released as of now.

It seems there used to was an R22 at this link (http://shadow93.info/CT1660/openBVE_DLC.html), however it's been down for a while, and the Wayback Machine can't display the page due to a robots.txt. I'd say that if you want it, then find someone to PM or E-mail it to you.

Did you drag and drop the archives or extract them? The archives have a number underscore, but the object folders shouldn't have it.

Just make sure to do it like this.

--> Railway
       --> Object
              --> Sample Objects
       --> Route
              --> sample.csv
       --> Sound
              --> Sample Sounds

You might want to ask the RoR forums about this.

If you're talking about extracting the archives that you downloaded, I use 7-Zip for that. That's because the .7z archive is proprietary archive.

Did you install all the dependencies? They're listed on the right side of the downloads page.

You just have to know .CSV object coding. All you need to do is take a look at the Wiki.

You could probably find a recording on YouTube just in a normal video, and save it as a .mp3 here (http://www.youtube-mp3.org/), isolate the door chime sound with some audio editing software (I use Audacity for this), and then put it in the train folder. You can also do this with door open, air, and horn/bell sounds, just to name a few. I've done this for my unreleased Wabco AA2 horn sounds, among other things.
