Thanks to whomever removed all those drug ads on the site.  When I came here, I thought that I was on CVS.com, not BVE.com.

NYCTA Projects / Re: (WIP) The Complete IRT Development Thread

The "ADDFACE" errors are caused by object bender.  If the files are b3d, object bender replaces Face with AddFace.  All you have to do is open the object that are causing the problem and "Find and Replace AddFace with Face.  The majority of the other errors are caused by announcements not having the .wav extension in the Route file.  Unfortunately, these have to be corrected manually

Nice work.  One question:  Where can I get the train sets for these routes.  I know That I can run any train set in Open BVE, but I wanted to run them as they were meant to be run.  Thanks

BVEStation Network News / Re: The R44 for openBVE has been released!

I'm having the same problem.  My McAfee Virus Protection went bananas when I downloaded the R44 set.  It is quarantining the OS_Ats1.dll file, sating that it contains a Trojan in the file.  It is removing the file from each train faster than I can replace them.  Is there a clean OS-Ats1.dll that can be safely used?

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Re: Gap Filler Signal
« on: February 28, 2017, 12:24:48 pm »
Thanks for the reply.  Congratulations, You were the only one.  But, I figured out what was wrong.  I did not put The ".Section 0,2,4" after placing the switch.  To my defense, The Gap Filler Signal works on the #1 line @ 14th Street and they do not have a "Section" coded into the signal.  Don't know how that was done.  Thanks anyway for your input.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Gap Filler Signal
« on: February 23, 2017, 10:38:09 am »
I wonder if someone can help me.  I placed the Gap Filler Signal that is included in the NYCT Custom Signal package, but I can't seem to get it to work.  As I stop at the station, the Gap Filler Signal is red.  As you leave the station, the signal should go blank and the bottom of the signal should say "off".  This does not occur .  The signal stays red.  Is there something (ie tripper..etc) that has to be placed so that the signal will work?  The instructions provided with the Custom Signal package does not mentiion the GF Signal.  I would appreciate any help.. Thanks

I see that there is only one LisaRaye Object Pack on BVE Station.  It is dated sometime in 2015, so it may be the latest pack.  I have been here for quite a while, and I have an earlier pack Called "LisaRaye" and a newer one called "LisaRaye2".  Many of the files are the same with some new objects added.  Let me know how you made out.

First, Open BVE should not be a folder in Program Files.  It should be a Folder on your "C" Drive only.  Here is the path:  C\Open BVE\User Data\Legacy Content\Railway\Objects.  Inside the objects Folder, place all the object folders that you downloaded.  Also, maybe an oversight, but you need LisaRaye2 for the Objects, Not LisaRaye.

Thanks, DJ.  We need to return to the original objectives of the site, The enjoyment of railroading and the NYC Subway System without this outside trash ruining a great site.

I am not a prude, but the things that are being posted on this site (See Off-Topic Post from today (Nov 8,2016) are not fit for this forum.  I have recently seen post that are selling junk and now this!  Let's clean up this site and get back to the business of railroading.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Coding to change tracks in Open BVE
« on: September 28, 2016, 02:34:28 pm »
I know that this topic must have been brought up before, but I have searched the forums and cannot fine a complete answer to my problem.  So, I am trying to code a route and I want to switch tracks from the players track (Track 0) on the right hand side (Local track) to the track immediately to the left (the express track).  Now, I know that this is a turn of Track 0 to the left, but my tracks never line up.  I want the track that I come off of to continue on, so I tried several of the available "Lock" switches but they do not seem to work well with the "Turn or Curve" commands.  I have tracks going in every direction.  I also looked at other routes, like the 6 and D trains, but I can't make sense of the coding.  So, could someone that is knowledgeable in Open BVE coding, please explain to me how I can go about moving my train from the local to the express track.  I know that there a plenty of members who have the skill to do this because I have gotten some good help in the past with other issues.  Thanks for any help that you can provide.

BVE/OpenBVE Support / Geometry for curved rails
« on: September 14, 2016, 08:53:20 pm »
I have been trying my hand at creating a route in Open BVE, but I have run into a problem.  I was coding the 14 th Street station on the # 4 Line and am trying to recreate the curve in the station.  I am using a 104 Left curve rail, wall and platform.  The players track seems perfect, but, as I move to the left, the rails do not fit, the platforms are off and the walls are offset by the rails.  I know that if you have a 104 radius rail on the right, outside rail, then there has to be a change as your other rails are -8,-12 and -20 meters offset from the player rail.  Does anyone know how I can figure the correct radius of the track as it moves inward (radius gets smaller, I think).  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks, arremm1

Content Development / Object Building Tutorial
« on: April 10, 2016, 12:04:45 pm »
Does anyone have an Object Building Tutorial that is written in English.  I know there used to be one that had illustrations and easy-to -understand language.  I tried reading the tutorial on WIKI, but it just gave me a headache.  If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.  What I am looking for is for Open BVE. Thanks, Richie M

I'm sorry that I don't know your first name, but whatever it is, you are a genius.  I fixed the 3 syntax errors that you pointed out and my route now loads in Route Viewer.  I have about a million errors per Route Viewer, but I will take them one at a time.  Thank you so much for your help!  You were a great help!   Richie Macchietto

It won't allow me to copy and paste.  Could you please explain how?
