It's exciting to hear the D being extended since its release. JayJay with all the routes your doing, you must be busy as a Bee..lol ;)

Actually i am doing 2 routes right now it's D line and culver shuttle the others is on hold or either pass to another developer from bvestation.com.
I was just giving my fellow bvestation member who doing the 4 a hand on elevated section on el curves and swtiches now since that is done.

BVE 2/4 and OpenBVE can both be installed on a computer at the same time without any problems so it's really up to those "out of the loop" to get in. I'm sure you remember how the R142A sounded when it was BVE, it wasn't nearly anything like the real-life one but with OpenBVE it's easier to obtain that realism with the allowance of extra motor sounds.

if it wasn't for windows 7 or vista not using DLLs then all of us would've been still using bve 2 or 4

General BVE/OpenBVE / Re: BVE 2/4 - OpenBVE

Where here's the thing, I've asked this before and no one really answered. What vintage line would you guys like to see?
The Original HH would be epic. Euclid to Far Rockaway then Back to Rockaway Park.

i would like to do that

The AA would be awesome. Thundering down that line in arnines would be epic....

and my situation in relation to the BVE2/4 vs. openBVE topic:
I personally would LOVE to work on BVE4 and BVE2 projects (Personally I feel that BVE2/4 is better), however it simpily isn't feasible anymore for me to create content that is BVE2/4 compatible.
The only computer i have that can kinda-sorta run BVE2/4 is a 1998 compaq presario which I don't even know if it works anymore (I haven't booted it up in over 6 years). So I (and im sure others) are kind of helpless here. Keep in mind that I already tried the DLL trick (trust me i did it right)

So unless somebody finds a way to run BVE2/4 on windows vista/7 no matter what hardware you have, it is likely that openBVE will stay as the most-developed for program. In the meantime I will embrace openBVE's features as it is all I can do when trying to develop for the community when i am saddled with limited resources.

if u have windows 7 or vista with a ATI Graphics card and u do the DLL trick it's gonna
 work for sure.
