I've been seeing a lot of photo realistic station walls in screenshots lately, most of which have custom names on them, but look as if they are real. Does anyone know how to do that and where I can get those blank walls for both the IND and IRT?

I just want to know, why do the updated R143 and 179 sounds have so much static and just doesn't sound to good? The first version of the R179 and 143 sounds were perfect.

Just a little comment about the demo route:

I personally don't like how the trains swing from side to side on the demo route. It would be better if the motion were not as intense.

Also the swinging causes the flanges of the train to constant screech. It is really annoying.

Besides the swinging, I love everything! There is so much detail and precision! Amazing job TJay!

Lol. Thanks. The train swaying is because of the .Accuracy command. I have it at 4. You can lower the rate to either 3,2, or 1.

Thank you all for your comments, suggestions and most of all, your support. This would'nt be possible without the community. I am always working on new ways to improve and as such, I have begun work on the Open World Object Pack. This is basically objects such as staircases, animated trees, whole city blocks that surround the entire scenery and provide different types of buildings and parks etc. (So you won't see any open space) Animated clocks and train arrival boards, new animated rain, animated tripcocks, signs (speed, resume, cars, etc.), station canopies and railings, and other things. Suggestions are welcomed. I'm also working on a custom marker set for displaying timetables, since the majority of our trains don't make use of panel2 and therefore do not have the timetable command. I'll explain this later.

I have the first release, the path. Visually it is gorgeous. However to me it's not as realistic as they claim. The train physics aren't that realistic and the train stops on a dime when you brake, which no train in the world does that. And way too many commands you must remember to use during play. That's always been the problem with commercial simulators.

I'll see what I can come up with, but as far as I can tell, openBVE see's the signals as animated freeobjects but will use them as signals when they are coded into the route as such, but it will not recognize or penalize you as it would if it was the built in signals. These signals were paterned after the BRsigs and as far as I can tell, those signals don't have any special code in them that I didn't use and they have penalties because their trains have safety system plugins and the routes have the corresponding beacons. But I will look into this because that bothers me too.

Great pack Tjay

The E is in the process of being resignalled now however with the tunnels. Would it be possible to stretch the roofs out a bit on the tunnel objects so that it covers 2 tracks as seen below?

In the object pack walls & dikes folder there is an object named exproof. I built that to cover the express tracks. You can set it like this:
.Wall 0;0;5, just an example.

The demo route is for everyone. It's nothing fancy. Just walls, rails, and platforms to display the signals.

I apologize for the delay. I had a power outage at my home yesterday. But....... The Objects Pack, Custom Signals Pack, and the Signals Demo route have been submitted to ipac and the submission email address for upload. All 3 should be available for download as soon as they are uploaded.

Enjoy!!!!

Feedback is welcomed.

I had to respond to this. The .Turn command is not hard to use. It's simple. If you are switching a train from left to right, it's always going to be .Turn 0.08 then .Turn -0.08. There are special instances where there is .Turn 0.16. But rare. It's an easy command. My 1969 Shuttle has a .Turn command in it right before Prospect Park.

Also, coding an express to a local is not hard, it's Tedious and can get confusing. The best thing to do in that situation is code both local and the express at the same time. Meaning if you start an express route and want a local as well, after you complete each station, you do the same for the local.

Having said that, once I receive the necessary permissions, there will be some updated lines soon that I will be working on with different runs.

7th Avenue makes for a fun run..........  ;)

Exactly. As error pointed out, openBVE just as with BVE 4 does not view custom signals as registered signals. Even though they function as signals, they are still basically read as animated freeobjects. The reason why you get penalized in the British routes for running a red or taking a yellow too fast is because all of their trains utilize plugins and the routes have beacons. Without those, there are no penalties.

An update: The first object pack is COMPLETE. I will be sending it to ipac for upload soon. The signals will follow after as there are a lot of them. So far I have 17 signals at this point and I have created a 2 Shot GT and a 2 Shot ST-GT. All underground automatic signals and Home signals are done. I am now putting together all Timed underground signals. (1 Shot GT, 2 Shot GT, 2 Shot ST-GT, 1 Shot ST, and all Timed Home signals) After those are done, I will be doing the same signals for the outside, elevated portion of the NYC subway. Screens of the signals coming soon. Stay tuned.

Almost forgot, there will be 1 Shot GT's that can be apprached at different speeds. I figured that out. FULL Instructions on how to use and place all the signals will be included.
