BVE/OpenBVE Support / Coming back to BVE after a while - forgotten a few things!
« on: August 21, 2015, 05:04:05 am »
Hi all
There's nothing worse than someone joining the forum to say 'Why doesn't BVE work on my PC?' - so I will try not to fit the stereotype!
I have recently bought a new PC, nothing too special but enough to run most of my slightly older sim games. I'm running Windows 8 (soon to be Windows 10) but can't get BVE to run.
Here's what I've done to date, so you have as much information as possible:
1) Downloaded Open BVE
2) Checked that .NET Framework is installed, which it is
3) Added the Northern Line into the 'Legacy' folder...this is just like how I remember doing it (not necessarily the correct way though). So I put the correct folders into 'Railway' 'Train' etc. This might be where I am going wrong.
4) Booted Open BVE as an administrator....then tells me it has stopped working and needs to close.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
