BMT lines issues
« on: January 15, 2016, 05:17:07 pm »
I've read through the forums posting for the past three years trying to find a way to make the BMT lines work.  I've created different users in windows and set them up for administrator rights. I deleted and added back the objects. I've used  7winzip and Win RAR to extract the objects. Unfortunately I am having no success when trying to run the BMT lines. Issues I'm having are no tracks, no stations, no signals just the train moving in the air.  If anyone could help me out with my issue it will be greatly appreciated. If possible may someone send me screen shot on how their folders are set up. Thanks!

Did you install all the dependencies? They're listed on the right side of the downloads page.

Ive installed all objects/dependencies numerous times under different user names, for some reason the BMT lines will not load correctly. What program did you use to upload your files?

If you're talking about extracting the archives that you downloaded, I use 7-Zip for that. That's because the .7z archive is proprietary archive.

Make sure you are moving the objects to the Object folder, the routes to the Route folder, and the sounds to the Sound folder in .../BVE/UserData/LegacyContent/

Just make sure to do it like this.

--> Railway
       --> Object
              --> Sample Objects
       --> Route
              --> sample.csv
       --> Sound
              --> Sample Sounds

Did you drag and drop the archives or extract them? The archives have a number underscore, but the object folders shouldn't have it.

I extract the file with 7zip then added to the folder.  So I'm guessing I should use the sub folder and not the one with the underscore.

Example:

               1_Culver- don't use this one
                    Culver -  use this one

Let me know if I'm correct.

This is exactly correct. Don't drag the archives into the object folder, drag the folder in the archive to the object folder. You get it?
